Lift with Cee 40-4-40 wanna join me?

I am going to be starting Cheryl's 40-4-40 program soon. I have been doing her beginner program for about 2 months and feel ready to take on a new challenge. I have no set date to start but thought I might put it out there to see if anyone wants to do a check-in. We can start next week or next month, whatever works for anyone interested.

I'm actually doing this right now myself, although 2x per week usually works better with my schedule than 3x per week, so I will be doing it as a 9 week program rather than a 6 week. I'm terrible at checking in, but this is really a VERY good, solid program!!

I just checked her out and subscribed.

I might try this program out later in August, but it looks really good.

I’m doing her beginners program now and plan to start 40-4-40 when I feel ready, maybe around August 1… I’ll follow this thread!

I'll follow along in the hope the challengers will motivate me to start Cee's beginner's rotation.

I just finished her 6-week PPL series last week. I really like Cee and enjoyed it but need more exercises for my legs workouts. Even if she did three standing exercises and then went to the floor for glute bridges but two standing exercises and then to the floor is not enough for me. I also added weighted calf raises to leg day. I’m a lot weaker in my upper body (two bad shoulders) so felt the upper body work was sufficient.

I went back to Cathe this week.

I may revisit Cee again in the fall. I wish her must success with her Channel.

Hey y'all! On the spur of the moment I started 40-4-40 yesterday. I may be a bit sporadic this week since our grandson is staying with us, but I really liked the first workout and will continue.

Last week I finished her Beginners' program for the second time through the 4 workouts, then I went to a yoga festival over the weekend and did not do other workouts, so yesterday I was in the mood for something new. I used the warmup from the beginner series, which is fine, and I like her pace and the straightforward moves. I am recovering from foot surgery so there may be moves I need to modify or substitute (lunges) but so far I'm okay.

I would be interested although I know a week or two I may only get in 2 workouts. Love her lifting style.

Sorry all for starting this thread and then abandoning it..lol. We had visitors from overseas and I didn't get a lot of time for reading/posting.

I actually did start this program today and would still love to have some partners for a check-in.

@laurajhawk still game?

I loved the first workout but I am going to have to tweak my weights. Some were too easy. I might even have to invest in a couple of heavier kettle bells.

Let me know. My plan is to do this either 3x per week or maybe every other day on "odd" dates.

I'm still doing the program, got up through workout 6 so far, doing three workouts a week. I didn't do one today because I feel like I've been overdoing things a bit - still recovering somewhat from foot surgery in May - and I start a yoga teaching gig tomorrow, so I don't want to be worn out This week may be a bit off & on because we'll have our grandson staying with us - but I do intend to continue and would be happy to check in!

I'm generally using about 2/3 of Cee's weights but I'm laying out a tracking sheet (in my journal, since it's short) ahead of time each day with my guesstimates of what I'll need, since some moves are new each time. I think I have it dialed in pretty well.
