Hi Ladies,

Today was a snow shovel day.

Liz, I did watch the Super Bowl (Bengals fan here!) I grew up in Ohio, born in Cincinnati. Those boys are scrappy, and they are always the underdogs.

Sherry, sorry about the tire.

wishiwasinhawaii, sorry about the work situation.

Donna, I've actually been itching to revisit some of Jessica's workouts. Wish she'd make an announcement about the workouts...soon!

Been doing different walks. Yesterday, I did a Lake District hike in the UK. Beautiful scenery. The coach was training for the Olympics in his younger days (rowing) but didn't make the cut in the end. I think his name was Gregory. That's what I get for neglecting to post. ;-)

Hi Everyone,

Today, so far, has been:

Jessica Smith - Cardio Ballet (You Tube) - I hadn't done this one in a long time, it is from 2013

I also did:

Ballet Fitness - Nicky McGinnity - leg and glute work and the stretch segment. again, a blast from the past that i have on DVD. It was ok, not as tough as i would have thought - which I guess is a good thing....

I may squeeze in a CS or a walk or both later. It was cold here yesterday so no walk.

I did get some decluttering done yesterday - paperwork - ugh. I have a pile for shredding and/or burning.

I would like to hit my hobby area - meaning my exercise stuff and my knitting/yarn stuff. I have been wanting to do some knitting lately but just feel overwhelmed by hunting up my stuff - so that is telling me I have too much and it is too disorganized.

I don't think I got the job i applied for, at least according to the rumors I have heard about who did get it. I'm a bit disappointed but I'm also ok with it too - at least in my current position I can work from home and there is no "expectation" to be on call outside of business hours. All things being equal, I would like to retire in 6 years so maybe I just ride it out where i am...

Pam - I am really enjoying re-visiting Jessica's workouts! I am giving some thought to doing WS 3.0 at my own pace...following Debbie.....

Waves, everyone!

Hope everyone has a good day!

Donna

Hi Ladies,

More TM hiking today in the Lake District, England (home to Beatrix Potter and William Wordsworth!) Steep incline of 12 percent for a good portion of workout, but at a slower pace so not too bad! More gorgeous scenery.

Chilly here. Looking forward to a warmup tomorrow of 45 degrees!

Enjoy the day!

Nice work, Pam!

So..this can only happen to a vidiot - I started going through a box of DVDs I had set aside to get rid of a then worked them back into my collection! They are Stott Pilates DVDs - I used to find them BORING but I am wondering if my tastes have changed. I do like slower paced workouts these days...so I have them back in the pile to work into the rotation at some point.

I really didn't get rid of anything today, but I did sort out my yarn and found my knitting stuff.

Hope everyone has a good day -

Enjoying this staycation part of my vacation -

Today I did Senior Shape’s new kettlebell workout. I enjoyed it, I was able to use my 15 pound kettlebell for five minutes lol. Then I switched to my 12 pound dumbbell. I rarely am able to use it, but I could in this workout. I like that she has a warmup and cool down in the video.

Donna, I’m glad you are okay with not getting the job. Sounds like it worked out for the best. Too funny about the reverse decluttering of dvds. It’s like shopping lol.

Pam, I’ve heard the Lake District is beautiful.

I decided to do another round of Calm & Strong, which is one of my favorites. I started yesterday.

Donna, Sorry to hear about the job. I'm planning to retire from my current job in 5-6 years. I'll have to figure out the health insurance part of it, but I just don't see myself working there until my full retirement age. No way! I'm so dreading going back to the office. I'm supposed to only be going in one day a week, but they haven't said anything yet about what the plan is. It's good to go through DVDs because you might find something you forgot you had and it will seem like new!

Pam, That sounds like a nice walk in the Lake District. I've been taking virtual tours of various places all over the world and it has been fun, and much cheaper and less stressful than traveling, LOL.

Sherry, Is Senior Shape on youtube? Sounds interesting.

Hi Everyone,

This morning was:

Jessica Smith - Cardio Interval Sculpt WS 3.0
Jessica Smith - Yoga for Back Pain Relief (DVD)

Both were good - I used light weights and followed Debbie and the Cardio Interval was definitely do-able.

Yesterday I added on a short dog walk and then did Sahra's Live Essentrics from Monday.

I'm ok about the job...it was going to be 2X a week in the office and I go in 2X a month now (if that)...so not sorry about that part.

wishiwasinhawaii - I was thinking about doing another round of Calm & Strong, too, or maybe WS 3.0 following Debbie. All things being equal, i want to retire in 5-6 years as well and these staycations just make me want to do it more. I like not having to rush everything and just take my time and still get things done but be able to do it at my pace in my own good time. It is nice going to the grocery store when it is not packed w/ people. The little things....

Hope everyone has a good day!

Donna, working from home is definitely a big plus. Good job on WS3.

Hi Ladies,

Today's walk was with Phil in the Dominican Republic. He's a very enjoyable trainer and the walk picked up the pace pretty quickly, though only 20 minutes in length.

I finished shoveling my driveway, since we had our electrician here to take care of a few things. The guys I hired, never showed up so don't know what happened there. Maybe they thought it would melt by the time they came, so didn't come. They have not been responsive so I will have to find someone else who is already working in the area.

Donna, I have a big yarn stash. I have wanted to get better at knitting, but haven't taken the time. I do crochet every once in a while but I really need to use up my yarn and start some projects. I want to crochet something to keep at the bottom of my doors to keep the drafts and cold air from coming in from outside. By the time I get to this, it will be Spring.

Have a good day folks!

Pam - I want to get back into my yarn, too - and some projects....but I think b/c I have a to practically re-teach myself every time (b/c I'm not consistent) I rarely make progress. A few years ago I did a # of scarves and hats and wraps....I'm not good at more intricate things like sweaters or anything that has to be precisely shaped, LOL! But it is a relaxing hobby.

yes, Sherry -WFH Is a big bonus.

I got out for a walk w/ my dog and did CS 1406 today.

Hope everyone has a good evening!
