Tracy Reifkind

As a result of mention of Tracy on another thread, that got me searching. I have recently rekindled my love of kettlebells and you could say I'm obsessed. I've been doing mostly Kettlebell Kickboxing/Lauren Brooks/Troy Van Spanje, but wondering if anyone has Tracy's DVDs and if they are any good?
Thanks
Stacey

Tracy focuses mainly on swings. She has a lot of workouts on YouTube and you can also find the workouts from her book here: https://swinglean.com/the-swing-workouts/

I didn’t know she had a streaming site, she has always posted a lot of workouts on YouTube.

Yes, that's her site. There's nothing there that you can't find on the Youtube channel, so it's not worth it. The only advantage you get is to join the private Facebook page where you get access to her and her husband Mark. Mark is a legend in strength circles, so that is cool and he does answer questions, but as far as the content of the site is concerned, it's pretty much the same as the YT channel. Her workouts are all about swings, swings and more swings. There's not much you can do with that. She doesn't really program anything else. She occasionally gets spicy and does a snatch.

Her weight loss is inspiring. I have the book, and one of the things that stood out to me was her recommendation to try to eat the same foods 5 days out of the week to get a true idea of the number of calories you consume. Pahla B recommends that as well, and the more I think about it, it does make sense. I think most of us overeat our planned calorie deficit a bit, or a lot! Lol I'm tempted to join the streaming site to ask them a few questions.

I forget how I found out about it, since I was not a member of the kettlebell gym in the next town, but 6 years ago IIRC, Tracy Reifkind came there & held a special class. I went, took part, didn't make it through the whole hour. (I was pretty much recovered from surgery in 2013 but hadn't gotten all my strength back.) She was very friendly and gracious. I bought a DVD & she autographed the inside cover art.

I still have 2 pictures from then in a VF album.

Tracy is in left foreground. I'm 4th from the right. Picture 9 in album Cynthia. Picture 10, we're all bent over.

Cynthia, that is so neat! Today I did her workouts #1 and 2. The illustrations in the book were very helpful for form and breathing. I am feeling it this evening in the glute and hamstring area.
