Todays workouts:
~Neighbourhood walk + 15 min rebounding
~PT exercises + 100 booty band crab walks
~Pilates Bar: Upper Body workout - This was good, but challenging! My lightest resistance cords are 20 lb so I felt it. I like the bar, certainly gives you a good workout! With the wall anchors DH installed, I can attach the resistance cords and handles & use it like a Pilates springboard wall.
~YDL: Stand Up & Yoga + my own supported yin poses, upper back, shoulder, & hip focus. Finished with lumbar release
~Beryl Bender Birch guided meditation: Chanting the Mantra Om

Colleen - Sorry to hear the smoke has blown your way! Barlates Linda is very generous with her free youtube workouts.

Hi!

Yesterday's "workout" was functional fitness at the food closet.

Today's Workout: Yoga class at my gym.

I asked my yoga instructor (who is also the head gym instructor) about the rumor I heard of a new Friday class, and apparently there isn't one. Oh well! He did say he is continuing to shop around for more classes. In the meantime I'll try the new aqua aerobics (the first one I can attend is a week from Tuesday) and see if that is for me.

Wish me luck -- I'm seeing my doctor this afternoon to ask about starting cortisone shots for my troublesome right knee.

Beth: Sorry about the delay getting home. Hope everything works out.

Friday’s workouts:

AM

Barlates Ankle Weight Total Body: Core Focus (60’ total body)

I tried the Barlates workout on YT before buying the series as downloads. This is a total body fusion workout with ankle weights on for the entire workout and light hand weights for the upper body section. There are a lot of rotations, long lever movements, and angle changes (such as leg sweeps rather than simple leg lifts). There was an ab exercise near the end that was new to me and it took a while to figure out because my body kept trying to do something different! There were some moves that were challenging for coordination, and I like that type of thing.

~Cardio: Mall walk unsuccessfully shopping for a summer t-shirt dress + neighbourhood walk = 12,463 steps

Quick pop in to say that I hope your doctors appointment goes well Sandra. It seems like everyone has been going through their own stuff when I’ve been away; sending hugs, and I will certainly try to do more personals after I get back home.

I’m still at my mom’s, and I signed up for a local yoga class this morning. If I get a chance, I’ll report back on that. I am now scheduled to fly out tomorrow. I don’t think the family issues will prevent this from happening, but wish me luck on the weather – there are no thunderstorms in the area again.
