LOL!

I used to do one of her Turbo Fire workouts regularly. I was fascinated about how her falsies (eyelashes) didn't fall off during all the sweaty intervals.

I listen to her podcast (The Chalene Show) and really enjoy it. A lot of other things besides fitness. Take it for what it is, she and her husband are very successful (just got back from a month in Europe), but I'm sure they have worked hard. One thing I like about her podcast is the sound quality is very good and you feel like she is talking directly to you. One episode I thought was especially good was 818 Parenting Teens. I also enjoy the ones about streaming shows to watch. Overall pretty interesting! She seems to make money now from podcasting (she has a paid version which I haven't tried.) So she's not really selling anything, she does have advertisements on the podcast where she talks about the product (CBD and some type of supplements) but she doesn't push those during the actual podcast. She sometimes has a guest but it seems it's often just her.

I’m not Terry, but I agree about the leg press and do not love a weight vest for squats at home, though I do wear a vest occasionally.

Unilateral lower body exercises I like-

Bodyweight:
Tall box step-ups with forward lean, 20”
Side box step-ups
Skater squats
Bulgarian split squats with verrry slow lowering
One-legged squats standing on a box, kind of like a modified pistol
Lots of versions of forward lunges with step-ups and leg lifts that I learned from Leah Sarago’s workouts

There’s also a version I just heard of but haven’t tried, called a shrimp squat, where you use a hand for support, and use the other hand to stretch your non-working quad

Weighted:
Split squats
Bulgarian split squats
Slide lunges and slide lateral lunges, and regular lateral lunges, including variations with a deficit (working foot on a 4-8” step)
B-stance squats
One-legged RDL, braced if weight is very heavy
One-legged box squats with weights for counterbalance
Deficit curtsy lunges (working foot in step)
B-stance or one-legged hip thrusts
One-legged glute bridges with working foot on a box

This list is fabulous. Thank you.
