I didn't think it was her best book, but I still enjoyed it. It took me longer than usual to get into it. (Keep in mind that I'm usually into her books by about page 2. ) I would recommend it.

How is it May already???

Thanks so much for the new list, whee!!

As for me, I got a tablet when my computer needed some work, so now I can borrow books on Overdrive/Libby from the library. Audio books and e-books, here I come.

So far, I've gotten Gabrielle Union's memoir (a good read, I've hardly done anything else all day, and barely noticed it was raining.), and The Fellowship of the Rings on audio.

A few more things to try, but those are the two I'm starting with.

Finished The Cartographers this weekend and it's a fun read if you like mysteries set in libraries, maps and a little bit of magic.

Currently reading Our Lady of Mysterious Aliments, the second in the Edinburgh Nights series about a young woman who talks to ghosts in a dystopian version of Scotland. Enjoying it but there's a good deal more Scots urban slang in this one than in the first.

That book has been on my wish list for weeks. I keep calling the library every week to ask if they have it. I'm hoping they'll eventually acquiesce and order it just to get me off their back.

I read Anatomy of a Scandal and am now watching the mini-series.

I am reading "Sister Stardust" by Jane Green. I am glad she finally is setting books in England again. So far most is set in the 1960s with a ton of music references.

I finished reading Troublemaker by Leah Remini.

I am listening to the audiobook All Things Bright and Beautiful by James Herriot. I have read this printed book before but this audiobook is read by Nicholas Ralph who played the role of James Herriot in the PBS Season episodes of All Creatures Great and Small. I'm enjoying listening to the narration by Nicholas Ralph.

I am also reading An Appetite for Wonder by Richard Dawkins.

difit, thank you for posting the new releases in May!

I was stunned that it was sitting on the "lucky chance" shelf when I went to pick up another hold. They must have just put it out right before I walked in.

I stayed up entirely too late listening to Elton John's memoir on audio.
Too entertaining, LOL!!!

Editing this to note: almost done (thanks, road trip) and I've enjoyed it quite a lot.

This lets you follow along with his obsessions, addictions and debauchery, but it also gives some insights into the wildly talented, hard working man underneath it all.

He's honestly lucky to still be alive, and manages to convey that, pretty much throughout with wit and charm.

This one's not for the prudish or homophobic, but honestly, I think he handles the more debauched elements of the story with a good deal of self restraint.

It's almost funny how many names he drops in the course of the text, but I guess it's just more proof that he's been around a long time.
