I really like Les Mills' original Body Step workouts. They include a CD and notes becuase they were never intended for public sale - only for instructors in gyms. The CD is what they play in the gym to present the workout. Team of 3 are on a high stage with a live class (of other instructors), & very enthusastic. At times, a different person will lead for one song. My favourite instructor is Lisa Osborne (short blonde woman). They are choreographed down to the final 'pose' when the song ends but don't have the 'Stepford' feel that The Firm workouts do.
Downside:
They all follow the same format, so they can feel quite repetitive if you do a lot of them. I've never been able to remember any particular one as "that was a great one!" - all the same to me (essentially). The choreography is VERY simple. Even though I really like them, don't think they're worth the price they're asking on eBay for them - NOT. AT. ALL. - especially since they're not new.
I got mine from an ex-instructor (have 35 of them). She gave them to me as she regarded them as junk around the house - not a home-workout person in any way; and they're not supposed sell them. She said they sign something about that.
Mine are #38, 42, 48-61, 66-71, 74-76, 78-80, 82-86 & 101
