It helps to remember that Kelly's always led an athletic lifestyle and teaches umpteen classes a week in addition to filming all the time.

How many of us have fitness as our job, causing us to work out so much?

I think Kelly is superhuman, to be honest! I had her Back Care dvd and watched it first. I could tell from the exercises that she was someone who had never personally suffered a back injury. Her exercises for someone in maintenance or in pain from an injury would never work for me. I would injure myself further.

I use to teach 4-5 various classes each week back in the day. Until one day I was putting away laundry and blew out my low back. Even as a fitness instructor, you have to be careful about how much you do. Sometimes, especially as you get older, it is just too much for the body to handle. That was my experience.
Her back care dvd is not for someone who has a permanent low back injury. I did it once and it aggravated my back.

Also, I bet a lot of us WOULD somehow be able to do the move if we were filming a workout and the camera operator had told us NO MORE CUTS

Kelly was a field hockey player and gymnast in high school and college.

Cathe is a year younger and I'm KCM's age. I could never understand how Cathe could keep the high impact like she's still in her 20s.

Not sure, but doesn't her studio or set have that special kind of cushioning beneath the floor or incorporated with the flooring?

I took a step class in college (mid-2000s) and the workout room used for step (and some other group fitness classes) had cushioning in the floor somehow. It was really nice.

Just remember that we're all built differently so what one person can do, another person can't even with training and effort. Just do what you can, and yes, getting off the floor is important.

For posture, you can always do the old trick of walking around with a book on your head. In cultures where people (tho it's usually women) carry things on their head, they have gorgeous. elegant posture.
