Really Want To Like KCM and Cathe ... Help.

These two women are instructors I haven't jumped on the bandwagon for. But I want to. I did post a question about Cathe on another thread, but thought I should start a separate one, as to not high jack the other.

So, I'm intermediate in condition. I do low/no impact cardio. I adore 4-limb movement or compilation movement. (Muscle isolation is not time saving for me). I workout appx 30-40 minutes at a time. I primarily do the Anna Benson Era FIRMS.

Could any of you please give me some titles to check out over at Total Fitness?

TIA ~

Well, KCM's whole 30 Minutes to Fitness dvds fit into your time frame and she has numerous premixes on each dvd for longer or shorter time frames. Many of her dvds are circuit style or 4 limb-ish. I read a thread on VF a while back where people listed the KCM's that were the most 4 limb-ish. They included Circuit Burn, Lean Body Circuits, Plateau Buster, Trim Down and Your Best Body. So that's a good place to start. I personally really like Kelly's workouts and consider them solid intermediate and effective.

These are what I can think of that would be easy to modify if needed. HTH.

Cathe:
Strong and Sweaty Cardio Slam (low impact premix that shows modifications)
ICE Metabolic Total Body
ICE Low Impact Sweat
RIPPED with HIIT - Low Impact HIIT
XTrain All Out Low Impact HIIT
Low Impact AfterBurn
Low Impact Cardio Supersets
Low Impact Slide and Glide
Travel Fit
MMA Boxing
Low Impact Step + Total Body Sculpting
Basic Step + Body Fusion
High Step Circuit

KCM:
Cardio Pump
Lean Body Circuits
Start Here
Trim Down

So to help with suggestions, ... I just previewed KMC Body Shop and really like this one. I think KMC cardio is a bit too fast, so her toning programs are more of what I'm leaning toward. I also like
ICE Series Metabolic Total Body w/Cathe.

ETA: oohhh... I like Plateau Buster as well. The modifier is great.

Try her on youtube - her upper body workout (in her basement I think) is really good. I am on the fence about kelly - sometimes I like her stuff and sometimes it's too slow and flat for me. The live workout was ahhhmazing. my biceps hurt today and you can go heavy or light - whatever works. 30 second on, 10 seconds off. great workout. would love more in that pattern.

I asked a similar question a few months back and got a lot of good advice. I wasn't specifically looking for no/low impact cardio but with health issues I can't do advanced cardio.

My favorite KCM's are NYC, Your Best Body, Muscle Definition and Body Shop. I consider myself more intermediate for weights, I find her perfect for me. I am not a fan of her circuit workouts, but love her weight work.

Tina, in addition to the above suggestions, I think you'd also like Kelly's Lift (Workout 2).

the title of your thread says "really want to like..." does this mean you tried them before but didn't click with them?

or did you mean to title it "really want to try KCM or Cathe but not sure which one to try first"?

I have tried both of them, but it's been years since trying Cathe. Back when all the hype was step aerobics. And with Kelly I was in a bad place with decision making. Narrowing it down to toning/weight work has helped in deciding what to try. I didn't like what I tried from either of them, but now I know it's because step aerobics has never been a favorite of mine. Kelly has more of a AWT 4-limb feel from what I've previewed today. Cathe is hit and miss.
