Pilates Streaming

I know there are a lot of them out there. But are there ones better than others. I am enjoying Peloton Pilates but wonder if I would get more out of Pilates if I did an instructor that was pilates trained.

In my review of these type of streaming workouts, they all seem to be pretty expensive.

Just seeing what others use and if you have a cost or if there are some goods ones on youtube (I don't like the commercials that seem to pop up).

thanks!

I love Move with Nicole on YouTube. No annoying pop up commercials and her more recent stuff is filmed on a beautiful beach.

A few from YouTube:

Pilates and Yoga with Katja https://www.youtube.com/@PilatesYogawithKatja

MVMT with Cailin https://www.youtube.com/@MVMTwithCailin

Margaret Elizabeth https://www.youtube.com/@MargaretElizabethLLC

Trifecta Pilates https://www.youtube.com/@trifectapilates/videos

Taylor Toned https://www.youtube.com/@TaylorToned/videos

Kait Coats https://www.youtube.com/@KaitCoats/videos

Jessica Valant Pilates https://www.youtube.com/@JessicaValantPilates

Pilates Fit TV https://www.youtube.com/@PilatesFitTV

I do Jessica Valant's streaming almost exclusively these days, although I've done videos from all of these channels within the last year. But - I don't remember about the stinking ads; I can confirm that Jessica Valant's YouTube videos have ads.

I’m trying to decide if I want to renew John Garey TV. It’s an excellent Pilates site but I’ve been enjoying the variety on YouTube more lately.

I have not seen too many, but agree that John Garey is very good.

and I did decide to renew. They have a deal until 1/7/23 for $60 off their full access option. My email link wouldn't work and customer service got back to me immediately this morning and helped efficiently.

I initially subscribed to their mat fitness only last year, was so impressed that I upgraded to Full Access, buying a reformer receiving a discount from Balanced Body going through the JG site.

My reformer came with a year video access through Balanced Body (aka, pilates.com). Some good workouts, but the sound was bad. This is a deal breaker for me.

I am doing pilates mat teacher training with Beth at Trifecta Pilates and am very impressed with her streaming. After doing pilates for years consistently it's amazing the gains I'm making and the difference between doing the longer vs shorter classes. Some others I've tried: Balanced to the Core - like the YouTube stuff do not recommend her streaming, Margaret Elizabeth - the live class I did had a bridge ladder and was overkill I would not recommend for that reason. Flow with Mira and Jersey City Pilates haven't been mentioned and are excellent. There are also smaller channels worth trying that have great content even if they stopped posting. Angie's Pilates and Ivana Pilates come to mind. I'm always happy to talk pilates!

buffmama - would you mind sharing the gains you have made with Pilates and Trifecta Pilates? I have subscribed to Beth's site on and off, but never fully committed (exercise ADD), but I have always said, that if I wanted to get better at Pilates, Beth/Trifecta would be the way to do it - just curious to hear about the benefits you have seen, how often you practice, what other activities you do, etc.

Also - don't know if it was mentioned above, but The Girl with the Pilates Mat has some nice workouts!

And, if you use DVD/Downloads, I have enjoyed some of Caroline Sandry's work - I would say hers is generally more "Pilates-inspired" though than pure Pilates.
