Yesterday: mile 1 from Steady Walk. I don't reach for this one at all, so I thought I'd give it another try, and I still didn't like it.
and
Release: I liked this one. No, there's nothing new to see here, but it's gentle and it made me feel good.

Today:
Total Body Strength 48 : this kicked my butt! In my defense, I ate a crap dinner and the room was hot this morning (humid outside, too). And I've been doing mostly easy workouts lately. (excuses, excuses!)

weights: 12 heavy, would go heavier if she gave time to switch for some exercises. can definitely go heavier for chest, though

5 light, will try 8 next time, and will definitely go heavier for the tap down/bicep curl move

step top w/2 risers, which was ok for me

This workout hit every muscle group, had a nice pace, and just the right amount of reps. As with some of her other workouts, I do like that she does unilateral exercises in between the bilateral, which keeps me from hating that we repeat.

Congrats donna and anne for finishing the rotation!

***** 3/20/23 update *****
This did NOT kick my butt today, so I'm either an Amazon warrior princess or I just wasn't up for it last time.
heavy: 15, 10
light: 8, 5

Thanks CharM!

I started the hybrid rotation but petered out of it after only one week. I think it is just that the timing is not right for me right now - I have an elderly dog who is keeping me up at night and DH and I went away for the Labor Day weekend and taking 3 days off from exercise derailed me!

I will definitely come back to it once I'm getting better sleep!

Totally agree about Total Body 48-a great workout and intense by Jessica standards for sure. One of my all time favorites now!

Aww, I hope the doggy's ok.

Tell me more about the hybrid rotation. Is it something you made up or is it available from Jessica's site? If I've read about it, I must have forgotten.

Not Donna, but I believe she (hi Donna!) is doing a rotation that uses workouts from both Strong and Centered as well as Lift and Shift. I would think you'd just alternate the two rotations from each system by doing a day of S&C followed by a day of L&S or visa-versa. It would make for a longer rotation but also more balanced and fun, I would think.

The first month rotation for Lift and Shift Only is to rotate through all of the workouts taking an optional Cardio (or interval) day on Saturday and an active rest day each Sunday.

So it would look like this....

Week one L&S

Monday: Total Body Strength
Tuesday: Fine Toning
Wednesday: Total Body Definition
Thursday: Mobility
Friday: Total Body Stamina
Saturday: Cardio
Sunday: ARD

Week two L&S

Monday: Lower Body Circuit
Tuesday: Upper Body Circuit
Wednesday: Core Control
Thursday: Total Body Circuit
Friday: Mobility
Saturday: Cardio
Sunday: ARD

Week three L&S

Monday: HIIRT (High Intensity Interval Resistance Training)
Tuesday: Fine Toning
Wednesday: Total Body Strength
Thursday: Mobility
Friday: Total Body Definition
Saturday: Cardio
Sunday: ARD

Week four L&S

Monday: Lower Body Circuit
Tuesday: Upper Body Circuit
Wednesday: Core Challenge
Thursday: Total Body Circuit
Friday: Mobility
Saturday: Cardio
Sunday: ARD

So you could combine this rotation with Strong and Centered, choosing one day of L&S, next day S&C.

The Strong and Centered Rotation is available on Jessica's website,

Thanks, Pam! I don't have L & S , but now I'm thinking of doing a S&C and WS3 mix now that I have the idea of a hybrid rotation on my mind. I hope WS3 gets here within the week before I change my mind.

You're very welcome! Sorry for butting in, haha!

You could even do a week of Strong and Centered, and then a week of Walk Strong 3. A hybrid can be anything you want. Or changing up instructors or types of exercise, too!

I might do a hybrid rotation next month of Strong and Centered alternating with Pilates and see how that goes. So many options to think about.

This is an open area, there's no such thing as butting in.

Funny, I'd already been thinking of doing a week of strength, a week of yoga, kettlebells, etc., but now I think I'll mix up my JS workouts until November.
