Meditation suggestions

Hi

Lately I've been quite stressed. My usual yoga has seemed to diminish and I was thinking of looking for a site that might stream meditations. Anyone know of sites that do meditations.

Thanks

Laura

This guy has binaural beat music (there are other sites, too). I haven't seen any guided meditations on his site, but I suspect if you noodle around with binaural beats and guided meditations on youtube, you could find some.

I've been using binaural beats, mostly alpha and theta, for some time. I use them when I want to study or to concentrate, but I also have a few, mostly at delta, that I use for quick naps.

This thread has links to free meditations:

I haven't checked all the links, so some may not be valid anymore.

Yoga International has several videos on breathing and pranayama.

This is an introductory short video.

Deepak Chopra has some free guided meditations on his website: http://www.chopra.com/ccl/guided-meditations

If you're interested in buying audio files to download, you may want to check out Hay House and browse through their products. http://www.hayhouse.com/products/audio-downloads

There are different kinds of meditation. I prefer mindfulness meditation. It can be done with nothing but a quiet place and a timer. A great place to start is a book or audiobook by Jack Kornfield called Meditation For Beginners. there is a good chance it will be in your public library system. He talks about how to do the meditation and he is very entertaining in the process.

I have this great app that I use every morning. It's guided meditations with different themes such inner strength inner peace aniexty sleep. They range from 10 minutes to 50 minutes. I love it. It's called Calm. Can't recommend it enough.
