I'm reading:

The Next Ship Home by Heather Webb. I'm not sure if I will finish this one, but it has kept me engaged so far. It's a historical novel about a topic I haven't read much about, Ellis Island in the early 1900s. One main character works there and the other tries to get through it after sailing here from Italy with her sister.

The Paris Assignment by Rhys Bowen. I do not like her series, but really enjoy her stand-alone stories. This one sucked me in immediately as usual.

I've read three books so far this month:

Traitor King - it's about the life of Edward VIII and Wallis Simpson after his abdication

Homecoming by Kate Morton - I love all her books

First Family - tells the history of the Custis family, Martha Washington's grand children and their legacy with relation to George

I'm still reading The Paris Assignment by Rhys Bowen and I'm enjoying it. It's nothing new in the WWII historical fiction segment of books, but it is well-written.

I have been surprised by The End of Men by Christina Sweeney-Baird. It sucked me in immediately and I have had trouble putting it down. It's about a pandemic that kills only men and boys and the women who try to end the pandemic.
