Hi!

The tile guy had to come today to finish up - so no workout this morning. I'm definitely feeling the effects of being more sedentary.....so I hope to get something in this afternoon.

Yesterday at "lunch" I did a short Burpee Girl workout w/ weights - it actually made me sore! I think it is the style of workout - it is more endurance based.

I am thinking of following one of the Essentrics challenges - and adding on some walks or short strength workouts.

I still haven't been able to order Jessica's DVDs!! I am glad the sale is extended to June 30th, hopefully I can order before then. They show out of stock for me. I may end up just ordering digital. I have time to decide....

My background check came back clear, so I should be getting a formal offer soon and then I have to tell my boss....but I think it will be a good move. Nervous as always about change but I am hoping for a better work-life balance and less chaos.

Sherry - I am glad you went out to lunch - I bet that gave you a boost! I think you should get Jessica's, I'm sure you'll get better. It may just take time. But I feel positive for you!! I'm considering getting digital since I can't seem to order the DVDs - and maybe digital is the way to go - better for the environment and also space saving at home.

Hope everyone has a nice weekend!

Hi Everyone,

Yesterday I managed to do:

Essentrics Live workout from 5/16 w/ Meg - this was the kick-off of the 10 Day Glute & Core challenge which I plan to complete. this was a nice slower paced workout w/ good attention to form.

Today, so far, has been:

Burpee Girl 35 Min Walking for Weight Loss - this was a nice steady state routine. Not too hard. I really like her workouts, they are music only - and I thought that would be weird, but it works for me. All of the ones I have done so far have been low impact and barefoot.

I plan to get something else in later.

I have to do some work for my job today...ugh!!

I still can't order the bundle from Jessica - I'm thinking of reconsidering and reviewing the clips again and maybe just ordering the ones that appeal to me right now....or I could order digital....or I could just be patient and wait, LOL!

Hope everyone has a good Sunday!!

Hi Ladies,

No workouts Friday or Saturday. We had company here for board games and to help us celebrate an early DH's birthday on Friday! Stayed up too late that night, and then Saturday (DH's birthday) we went out to see a silent movie (Wings) with organ music accompaniment which was two and half hours! Afterwards they celebrated the event with cake (surprise) so we had cake Friday and Saturday!!! It was too warm outside to do much more, though we had other events on the calendar this weekend.

I'm going to do some type of workout, but I might also make a run to Home Depot to buy some mulch for the flower beds.

Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend!

Hi Everyone,

Yesterday evening I ended up adding on another Burpee Girl workout - one of the ones from her "short workouts" channel and I also added in a CS episode from the 10 Day Glute/Core Challenge - Season 11 Episode 29.

Today, so far I just threw in a CS episode, also from the challenge - Season 13, Episode 18.

Plan to walk later and maybe some strength training, too. The weather is nice -we had storms that cooled things down.

Pam - happy b'day to your DH!

Sherry - how are you feeling?

Still waiting on my final offer AND on Jessica's new set to be available to order. But like most things in life, I'm thinking there are reasons for the delays and I just have to deal with it. On the Jessica front, anyway, I'm not ready to start using them - so I am thinking that I may just order digital when I'm ready for them. I do want to order Kassandra's book though...she is my go-to Yogi these days.

Waves, everyone!

Donna, pretty much the same. But it can take a month or so for the medicine to take effect. I have a virtual appointment with Neuro DO on June 17. If it isn’t working by then, then I assume she will prescribe a different one. There are many meds for this, and different ones work for different people. It sometimes takes awhile to find the right one. Sometimes a combo of meds work.

Today is my appointment with the TMD/Orofacial Pain dentist the DO recommended. Hoping the two hour drive is worth it! Their website looks impressive. I know I have TMJ too, along with the bruxism and nerve pain.

Donna, I read Jessica’s set is available. I’m holding off, as I don’t think it’s something I’ll be doing, at least in the near future.

Had a busy weekend and didn't even do any workouts. I really need to get back to it. I am off work this week and went to the beach today. I like going there right before Memorial Day because it's not crowded yet and the weather is good.

Donna, I've been trying to order the bundle and it's out of stock. Apparently it was back in stock earlier today but I missed it. I'm not in a huge rush so I can wait or I may just order the digital instead, but it is strange that they keep going out of stock. I don't remember that happening with Jessica's other releases. Hope you don't have to wait too much longer for the final offer for that job.

Sherry, Hope the appointment with the new TMJ expert went well.

Pam, Your board games nights with friends sounds like a lot of fun!

Waves to Liz!

wishiwasinhawaii - I missed ordering today, too! I guess it will come back in stock eventually. I'm feeling like it is as hard to order this set as it was to get the first COVID shots, and now, they can't give them away and the health department calls my cell phone at least once a week to "remind" me I'm eligible for my second booster. Maybe that will be the case w/ this set!

Enjoy your week off.

I am not really surprised that it is taking awhile to get the formal offer.....it is ok b/c one - it is a lateral so I'm not losing out on money, and two - I feel like I need to stay where I am to finish out the fiscal year b/c of the volume...I have a week off for July 4th week, I'd be fine starting after that.

Oh well....we'll see how it all plays out.

I JUST ORDERED!!!!! I decided to check Amazon just for the heck of it, and it was in stock so I jumped on it. I'm not going to be home the next few days, so I scheduled it to be delivered next week instead since I don't want it arriving when I'm not home. I got a $3 digital credit for doing that, which is nice. I'm not going to start this new set until then anyway, so it's fine. If any of you are up early, the early bird gets the worm, LOL.

I'll write more later. I'm off to do my Strictly Strength workout now.

I just ordered as well!! Yes, being up early today waiting for the painters paid off!

I am getting the bulk of my DVDs on Saturday, since I'm not going to start using them right away either....I also pre-ordered Kassandra's (Yoga w/ Kassandra) book. The book comes out on June 21st.

Maybe if I get all the DVDs I'll start on Monday.....I think the one bathroom project will be done by then and the 2nd project is not starting until July.

I feel I need some structure!

Yesterday I added on an outdoor walk and one of the Senior Shape w/ Lauren workouts - Strength Training Workout for Beginners & Seniors - this was all done on the floor so good for a "lazy" day when you still want to do something.

Today not sure what I will squeeze in, hopefully something!

Maybe I'll get my offer letter today, LOL!

I decided to not order Jessica's newest. Doctor and TMJ doctor said I should be able to exercise again, but I don't think I'll be at the same level. Well, unless a miracle happens, lol. Come to think of it, I was getting to the point of having to slow down, especially with Lift and Shift. I think even without this issue, I was moving more towards Senior Shape workouts etc.

The appointment went well. He uses a splint that goes over the pain site with a compound pharmacy paste that relieves pain. That calmed it down so much! I have so much less pain. I think now the new meds can work. He wants to calm it down before I get the new mouth guard. I don't get the new ones until June 10, so have to focus on preventing more teeth grinding until then.

Basically, I have nerve damage from years of grinding my teeth and using OTC mouth guards. If I had caught it in time, it probably could have been reversed. Unfortunately, I thought I needed dental work, which irritated it further. What I did is common, most people do this. And dentists don't usually have a clue about this. My endo did somewhat, but he didn't explain it to me, just kept telling me to go to the TMJ specialist. Unfortunately, I was recommended to go to a bad one. She didn't explain things well, and gave me the wrong advice. The mouth guard she made was too painful to wear.

What is sad is that if dentists knew about this, they could prevent people from doing more damage, but they don't usually have a clue. And if they do, they don't explain it well. My TMJ specialist gave me the wrong advice, to exercise, which made it more painful. Also, I thought she did regular xrays, and couldn't tell if my tooth had a crack. Actually, she did do something called a CBCT which is more thorough than xrays, but didn't tell me. I think they expect you to accept their word as if they are god, but I question everything and need it explained. I've had doctors in the past give me the wrong treatment. Oh well, I need to stop beating myself up. I keep going back over the past, thinking if only I knew. Most likely, these nerves will never heal. The good news is that I can manage it with meds and the mouth guards, and resume a more normal life. Not what I had before, and probably not 100% pain free. But I should be able to eventually resume chewing and some exercise. It's just going to be a process. I do feel much better today with the paste splint and the new med.

ETA: I did call the new TMJ doctor about my teeth grinding while I wait for mouth guard. He called in a prescription for a muscle relaxer to minimize the grinding while I wait for the mouth guard. He gave me his cell phone number to call when I have questions or problems. He is very understanding and seems to care.
