I have a regular monthly wall calendar that has large spaces for each day where I write the workouts I have planned for the month. I have those shiny foil star stickers, and every day I do my workout, I put one on the calendar for that day.
ETA: Sometimes I don't bother with planning and writing down particular workouts, and I just put a sticker on for every day I workout. Sometimes that actually works better for keeping myself accountable and motivated so that I'm not feeling locked in to doing a particular workout.

I track mine through the "Just the Workouts" check-in. You're very welcome to join us!
I also use separate worksheets for workouts that involve weights, so I know what I did last time. if I'm in the middle of a rotation I'll have a paper copy that I update to show if I should keep the same weight or increase it. When I'm done with the rotation, I'll create a copy noting the final weights used on my computer. But I don't keep a systematic log of each workout. |

I've also been channeling you lately with being impatient with workouts. Addressed in another thread.

MEAD Calendar
I have been using them for YEARS. I got my first one at BJs many years ago and then checked online and found it and now order it early to make sure that the new year can arrive. I keep them and can look back on them.
It's very old school, big squares so I can see them fill up as the month goes on. Flip the page, new month. Side margins on the left for a few monthly notes (or goals?) Mead is on to me. Every year in July they send me a coupon for free shipping - I get my $8 calendar and I know that the next year can arrive. As a matter of fact, I'm ready for 2017!!!! My new mead calendar arrived this week. . . so BRING IT ON ............. ~ Cleda PS ... Carol - I wish I was smart enough to do a database also. An excel sheet, whatever. I am so in awe of the people who do this. |

I had a Post It Note Weekly Planner that I wasn't using, but liked the colors. I also prefer hand writing my workout log, rather than electronically. So I'm now using the Planner to log my workouts and I love it!! It's plenty of room to make the notes I want to keep.
The first row is for cardio / aerobics / hills (as I want to get in better shape for hiking) Second row - I log any strength workouts & core Third row - I keep track of additional daily activity Fourth row - yoga & stretching Here's a link to one that's similar

I used to write my running mileage and DVD workout on a calendar every day. I stopped doing that about a year ago and just did what I did, without record of any of it.
Recently, the bootcamp I go to instituted a new fitness tracker called "My Zone". It's a heartrate monitor strap that you wear around your chest that is extremely accurate. It tracks your calorie burn and your heart rate effort based on your personal maximum. There are monitors all around the gym during bootcamp and strength training that we can look at and see our effort in real time. The best feature that I like though is that it lets you name your workouts for each session, so I always know what I've done. It's an app on my phone and uploads with bluetooth to the phone where I can always see it. It is also online at a website. All of the bootcamp members are linked to each other so we can see what everyone is doing and encourage each other accordingly. It is a lot of fun, and has encouraged a lot of people, who would not otherwise be inclined, to work harder. I just ran 4 miles and walked 2 miles of hills and some steps down to the lake and back and burned 700 calories. For the month of July I have burned 19,000 calories. (With a whole week off) For someone who has never really been into calorie counting or anything of that nature, it's kind of fun for me to see the actual numbers!

My gym has a fitness webpage that I can track my workouts in - some of the options don't really fit the class designations, but overall I can track how many minutes I spend on my fitness every day. It can be downloaded to an Excel spreadsheet. I'll need to find another option once I retire.

It really is motivating when you highlight the workouts you did for the day or for the month. |

I use a regular calendar and write what workout I did. Now I get Cathe's calendar. I make stickers, write what workout I did and put the sticker of the workout I did.
