You are correct. It was not broken for everyone. I've been getting all my thread email reminders all this time (I think I use my hotmail email address for alerts). It was the one constant that worked with the forum (at least for me).

Same, I too received thread email reminders through hotmail no matter how busy the forum was.

Yes, others told me that they were getting email reminders, but mine (gmail account) have been either spotty or not working at all for several months now.
