But Cardio Barre? I have all the /dvds and never saw a pretzel. It does have back-attitude standing legwork.
Are you including standing work? To me, pretzels are floorwork.
Callan Pinckney does pretzels seated* on the floor, kneeling at the barre, and standing. it's the same movement but changes it around for variety.

*some have referred to this version as "laying on the floor".

i have CardioBarre but haven't done it in a while.

No pretzels in barres Studio Shape. There are some clams.

Pure Barre Pershing Square 2 has standing rear attitude lifts, but no floor pretzels.

I just watched Suzanne Bowen's 10 MS slim & sculpt Pilates and couldn't find any pretzels. She uses a resistance band for the lower body work.

What exactly are pretzels supposed to do? I don't think I ever got the form right on these.

Great list, bzar!! I'll add that Lacey Kondi's Callanetics Extreme has pretzels and I only remember that from doing it recently. I have several of her other Callanetics DVDs but haven't done them recently enough to know if they do or not but plan to revisit them soon.

Pretzels lift the "seat" (rear end). When they are done on the floor, they really carve out the waist with the effort required to have your torso upright instead leaning to the side.

Burr Leonard, in the Bar Method DVDs, gives very clear instruction on form.

I LOVE pretzel work!!

Pure Barre Results Focus Abs has a pretzel set. I want to say one of the Pure Barre Resistance series DVDs has pretzel too but I'll have to double check my notes.

Leah/Ballet Body has a couple of extremely tough "pretzel variations" downloads (1 and 2).

Also, as someone else mentioned Linda/Barlates has many tough pretzel workouts. If you do a YouTube search for "Barlates pretzel" I counted no less than 6 of her workouts that came up that are for free (not counting the trailers for her to purchase workouts).

I know the OP already mentioned it but Ballet Physique Amped Up DVD also comes to mind. And the Callenetics pretzel work is also terrific.

I never really felt them where I should, must not have had the form right. Isn't this the move that was supposed to result in a perfect peach?

Hi everyone, I'm reporting back with confirmation that Pure Barre Resistance Series #3 with Mish Metz has pretzel work in it too.

bzar thank you for the pretzel list!
