Happy 2020!
1. KCM Pump - I thought I'd pop in a KCM workout because I was thinking of buying from her sale, but I looked at my kcm collection and see that I have 13! I don't need more, so I've talked myself out of it. I'll keep checking my library because I'd still like to try them. Just remembered to mention that I did 2 extra sets of lower body, one from the dvd, the other was floor work. Added 10 minute Leslie 2. nothing, sore and lazy 3. Jessica Smith - I'm still sore from KCM's workout! 15 minute walk + 17 minute total body timesaver + 11 minutes of the Lower Body Circuit Walk. 1 mile walk outside at brisk pace. 4. nothing again, that's not good **As of 1/5, my January goal is to do more "new to me" workouts.** (ntm) 5. (both ntm) Ignite - Burn, Sexy Abs Cardio Sculpt - Women's Health Ignite (original dvd is called 20 Minute Workouts) Burn - I turned this 22 minute workout into more than 25 because I had to stop and go back with each new move since she didn't demonstrate, but you do the circuit twice more so I only stopped the first time through. Jeanette Jenkins SACS: I did chapters 3 (total body), 7 (booty), 10 (abs,thighs,butt), and stretch. 6. Jessica Smith 2 miles - I didn't feel like doing anything, so this is my "better than nothing" option 7. (ntm) Booty Barre plus Abs & Arms - It didn't look or feel familiar, so I'll call it new. info from Mary's site: Fusion Warm-Up (7 minutes), Killer Arms (14.5 minutes),Booty Barre & Abs (34.5 minutes). I didn't do the final 23 minutes since I was out of time. 8. 2 mile walk (1 mile holding groceries.) I've had a car for months now, but if I don't get up to do a dvd, I find a way to get some exercise. This always leaves me a sweaty mess. 9. terrible headache, slept it off. later did just a 1 mile Leslie walk 10. Leslie, Ignite - Build (ntm) - 1 mile leslie followed by women's health Ignite Build . This was much better than Burn, because she demonstrated the strength moves, giving me time to figure out my weights. I didn't exactly feel "worked out" after, so I'm going to have to figure out how to use these workouts. I don't know if going heavier would help, but maybe I'll do that next time. I used 12s for biceps/overhead press, 30 for goblet squat (dropped to 25 because something felt off, but normally 30 is fine), 12 for reverse lunge w/twist (will increase), 15 for single leg deadlift, 15 for chest press (will go heavier), one 15 for bridge (will use 2 next time). 11. Leslie, Cardio Lean (ntm) - 1 mile Leslie, Tracey Mallett's Fuse Dance Cardio Lean workout 1 - some exercises work the legs and booty, but for the most part it's not too challenging. There's no cool down/stretch at the end of this workout. 1 Leslie mile. Oh yeah, so about yesterday's workout that didn't leave me feeling "worked out"... I was incredibly sore last night and this morning. I don't think I'll be heavy-ing up next time. 12. Leslie, MM21 Strength(ntm) - 20 minute Leslie Walk Off Fat Fast, Montenegro Method Strength - Upper. I really should read reviews first. I only wanted to work the upper body, but his workout has combination moves. I went light for first set doing lower moves, then heavier for second set, skipping the lower body. Finished with 10 minutes Leslie WOFF. 13. Tendu Toning Ballerina Strong (ntm) - I did 40 minutes, then moved on to the stretch. If you're into a no-nonsense, no smiles, no fun, workout, this is it! lol it was just something I noticed; I don't need an instructor to be my best friend. She worked my legs and butt to the point that I wanted to cry. No best friend would do that! During the "table top" chapter, where you lean over the chair, my standing leg was just jelly. I had to get on all fours for the second round. I'll definitely have to build up to this. And I didn't even use ankle weights or a band. 14. Leslie - 2 miles, 10 minutes - had a terrible headache (as opposed to a wonderful one?), so I didn't want to do anything with too much movement. Halfway through, I remembered I had Bootcamp Boogie but was too lazy to change discs. haha @ AMD's post today. It looks like I'm done with raking leaves, although I have no idea where the last batch went. I think they got blown away with the strong winds last night. Sorry, neighbors! And Jane hasn't been heard from in days. I hope the dog wasn't her undoing. lol 15. 3 miles Leslie - once again, I woke up with a headache so there isn't much I want to do under those conditions. Tomorrow will be something different, since we're halfway through the month and I have more virgins to meet. 16. 2 miles Leslie - today is "tomorrow" and I did the same thing. ugh. I did this later in the day because I wasn't up to getting up early. 17. Standing Slim, BB bridge series - I woke up with a sore neck and shoulder. gah! I was going to do Bootcamp Boogie but couldn't make it past the warm-up with this pain. I threw in Barre 3 Standing Slim and modified just a tiny bit, it's already a gentle workout. I then got on all fours to see how that felt: not good. I tried my back and that was fine, so I did Ballet Beautiful Bridge Series. ouch! 18. Monterey walk - we decided to visit Monterey today. It's only an hour drive (good traffic), but we don't go too often. Fitbit shows 7 miles of walking and it feels like it! 19. Jessica Smith total body - still wanted to be careful with the neck, so I did what I knew wouldn't hurt me. I did a total body timesaver from one dvd, and belly blasting strength training from another. I've done these two back to back a few times, and keep forgetting that they have similar moves. fool me three or four times, shame, shame, shame on me. 20. Leslie, Ignite Sweat (ntm) - Leslie 10 minute walk as a warm up, which I realized didn't prepare me for the Sweat workout. I'll have to warm up with Cathe or KCM next time. Ignite Sweat, whew! I didn't get too sweaty because it's darn cold in my work out room, but it left me wanting air. At the end I took a minute or two to get my heart rate down before going to the floor. I finished with a 5 minute Leslie walk to further cool down. I have officially done all three Ignite workouts, so that's one virgin done. 21. MM21 Strength Lower (ntm), Jessica - KCM Strength & Stamina warm up since I knew MM21 doesn't have them (grrr), MM21 lower - I didn't know what weight to use so I grabbed 12s and I was feeling it by rep 5 of exercise 1. haha I used 12s throughout, but right now I'm waiting for the DOMS to kick in. If it doesn't, then I'll go heavier next time, for at least some of the exercises. Finished with Jessica's Power Pick Up (15 minutes) 22. rest day, but did some Gina Buber walks at different times of the evening adding up to 34 minutes according to my Fitbit. It was fun. Now to decide which ones to buy, if only to support her. I always feel guilty when doing their YouTube workouts and not buying a dvd or two. haha 23. KCM Pump - extra set of a leg chapter, plus additional 1 minute bridges with one 15 and one 12 since those were closest, and 1 minute per leg on all fours (30 seconds leg lifts, 30 seconds fire hydrants. ouch!) 24. 2 mile Gina B. YouTube - i wasn't going to do anything, but this looked like fun and I couldn't stop once I got started. I later ordered a Dance That Walk 2 dvd. 25. KBKB Strength (ntm) (scorcher) - I don't know what happened, am I a wimp, or is this hard? This near killed me and I didn't even use a heavy weight. My heaviest dumbbell was 10 pounds. I was wiped out but didn't know it until I tried to do a Gina B. walk and discovered that I had no energy. I think I made it through a minute before calling it quits. I'm going to have to try this KBKB workout again eventually to see if it was a one-off. 26. nothing, I got sick over night, woke up feeling weak and tired. 27. Ignite - Build, 10 min Jessica Smith -- I used the same weights as last time since I had some serious DOMS and didn't want to push it. I finished with 10 minutes of a JS walk. I wanted to do Gina B. but I think I've been doing her walks lately and I'm afraid I'll tire of her. 28.Jessica Smith Dance Walk, Jazzercise Burlesque quick - I used to think JS walks were fun, because all I had was Leslie for comparison, but now that I've been doing Gina B.'s, I think Jessica's are haha, but I'll still do them since I like her so much. I then did the quick Burlesque workout and this was still fun! My favorite chapter is the shortest, though. too bad link to the song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VaiySFLABOU 29. "rest" - I did manage to get in two separate Gina B. miles because I just had to. 30. ntm - Kettlebody By Brook - Bell Body Sculpt, 15 min JS - There's no warm up, so I went light and shallow with the first exercise (squats). I used a kb, because I didn't know if a dumbbell would work, it will and that's what I'll do next time since a few moves were awkward with the kb I have. I don't know what it was about this workout, but it's safe to say I'm not in love. Maybe I'll feel differently next time; I plan on doing a proper warm up, and will use heavy weights when possible to challenge myself. 31. ntm - Bellyfit Elements - Air, 10 minute Leslie - I bought these workouts for the cardio segments only, and had done Fire many times but hadn't tried the others, so when Air literally jumped out at me when I opened the case, I figured I had to try it. The moves are simple, but not always easy for me to pick up on, and I have no rhythm, but I had fun anyway. |
