Today's workout was

Walk At Home - Walk, Run, Lift 20 minute workout - 20 minutes; Buff Bones - Quadruped "bite"

I enjoyed this workout led by Brittany. Of all of Leslie's new walk leaders, she reminds me the most of Leslie. It was mostly fast walking, with a little bit of walking and a little bit of lifting using the band.

I re-subscribed to Buff Bites because I wanted short little pilates influenced segments to add on to my regular workouts.

Today's developments - my assistant turned up sick yesterday and tested positive this morning. She had been coughing, etc., all last week and is not a mask wearer. Needless to say, I am not happy. Everyone on our hall is symptomatic - congestion, tightness in the chest, sore throat, headache, dry cough - so far we are all testing negative... I feel so bad for the gal who offices across the hall from me. Her husband has cancer and she has been super careful because of it. We are all vaccinated and boosted and are mask wearers except for the assistant.

As a result, I did not get to see my new PCP. Donna, you are right, they just don't want to see you if you might be positive. They suggested I go to one of the urgent care clinics - appointments there are really tight, but I managed to get one for tomorrow afternoon. Tests are really hard to find, but our school nurse was able to test me and the one other employee who was in close contact with our shared assistant. I still have the appointment for tomorrow, just in case. Hopefully I will see my new doctor in early February.

Hi Everyone,

Yesterday at lunch I added on Jessica Valent's 15 min beginner workout for lower body. It was a very basic routine - squats, lunges, calf raises, deadlifts and step ups - 10-12 reps, repeated 2X.

Today was:

Lively Ladies - Fun Walk w/ Light Weights (1/7/22 upload) & Daily Stretch

I hope to fit in something else today.

Carol - eek! I hope you continue to test negative. In my experience getting tested and getting in to see a Dr is not easy. I haven't really done anything about switching PCPs at this point b/c I'm afraid they are probably all the same, unfortunately. The situation w/ my daughter irritated me though b/c she tested negative numerous times, yet they still wouldn't see her... Good idea about re-subscribing to Buff Bites, I have also thought about subscribing to Walk at Home...or Jenny Ford's site -both are inexpensive.

Dana - I hope you were able to get an appointment for your DH.

Waves, everyone,

Donna

Donna, yes I got him an appointment with a specialist for Feb 25th. Six weeks away, but that's the first available. He had one of the three diagnostic tests done yesterday morning at his oncologist office, and that came back negative, but he's got 2 more to go but it won't be scheduled or done until after his Feb 25th visit.

Carol, I hope you continue testing negative. I'm SOOO done with everything Covid. We're entering the 3rd year of it and enough is enough.

I woke up with a bad attitude this morning and I had to go to the office for couple of hours and I didn't get my workout in. Maybe later. I am feeling more positive now and I'm determined to have a nice rest of the day.

Waves to all!

Today's workouts were

Walk At Home - Walk, Run, Lift 30 minute workout - 30 minutes;
A good workout led by Rocky and Brittany

FitByMik - 20 Minute Legs & Booty Workout - 20 minutes;
This was a good workout by a new to me trainer. My only complaint is that there was no warmup or stretch at the end.

Buff Bones - Supine Band
This ended up being my stretch today. It was a good one.

Still hanging in there. Someone on Facebook described the feeling (of not having had CoVid yet) as playing a 3 year long game of dodgeball with very few people remaining on the court which seems pretty accurate to me. ... I always did hate dodgeball.

It was so pretty this afternoon when I got home from work after a haircut we decided to take the dogs for a walk:

Dog Walk - 30 minutes

And that's all I did. I still don't feel 100%, but I'm masking at work and keeping my door shut. I don't feel any worse than I did on Monday - I actually feel better than I did. So who knows.

A friend of mine got really sick Monday night and saw her doctor today. She tested negative for CoVid but has some sort of horrible stomach bug - they prescribed her antibiotics and told her to quarantine for 3 days after she feels better. I had never heard of quarantining for a stomach bug.

Good morning!

JS HIIT Walk off her 30 Day DVD set - 30min.

I also did 10min of Toning Walk on the same DVD and I don't think I've ever done this workout before even though I've had this set for years. Jessica uses bands for toning in this one. I really enjoyed this workout and wish I had more time to finish the whole thing but I have to be in the office early today. The company owner is out of town and he needs me to be there today and tomorrow to keep an eye on things.

I'll check back later. Waving hi to everyone!

Hi Everyone,

This week is turning out to be stressful - we have the on-going home repairs and a busy time at work - ugh.

I think I forgot to check in yesterday, so let's see if I can remember what I did:

- Jessica Smith - 1 Mile Upper Body Circuit Walk
- Jessica Valent - Beginners Weight Workout - Upper Body
- Yoga w/ Kassandra - Wed Morning Yoga - Twists (this is part of her 7 day Morning Yoga and Meditation Series - I admit that I skip the meditation - too fidgety in the morning - I should try to do it in the evening - it is only 5 minutes....)

Today has been:

- Jessica Valent - All Level HIIT - she recommended doing this 2X today but I don't like repeating workouts like that and I also felt it would be overkill on the lunges and squats

- Caroline Jordan - Good Digestion Cardio Workout - I thought this would be a good sub and HIIT-ish and it was - with different exercises.

- Yoga w/ Kassandra - Thursday Morning Yoga for Balance

Whew.

Carol - I'm glad you aren't feeling worse. That is odd about the stomach bug, but who knows any more!

Dana - I like that walk set from Jessica!

Hope everyone has a good day!

Hey everyone!

My rotation is going through a bunch of new to me workouts so it's all pretty loosey goosey.
Today will be lower body with Trim tone and tighten and maybe PIYO strong legs. Or some Taebo. Will decide at the moment.

Glad to see you all and healthy wishes for each of you..(Dana's husband included!)

Hi ladies,

Today was another beautiful day, so we took the dogs for another walk - in the upper 60s, absolutely no wind and not a cloud in the sky. Of course tomorrow the wind is going to blow 55+ mph and be dirty and Saturday the highs are going to be in the low 30s. You've got to take advantage of the pretty days when you can!

I tested negative again this morning, so maybe I'm out of the woods. We have a lot of cases right now - in town and in the school. Things are probably going to get challenging. A couple of schools around here have closed a day early for the long weekend and are adding some more vacation days on next week. I think they are having staffing issues.

So, "workouts" were:

Dog Walk - 30 minutes;

Taylor Toned - 30 Minute Barre & Pilates Class
Another new-to-me instructor - I really liked the workout - it was filmed outside on her patio, had good music, etc. Lots of arm work with light weights in this workout. I will be sore tomorrow. I had a little bit of trouble understanding her sometimes - I don't know if it was the accent or the music was a little louder than she was or the fact that she talked fast, but it's definitely not a deal breaker. I will do more from this channel.

Linda - it's good to see you!

Donna - My week is stressful too. Good workouts though! I don't like repeating an entire workout either. I remember Volume 5 of the Firm with it's cardio that repeated - that was such a disappointment for me. My least favorite Firm workout of all time.

Dana - Good workouts!

I'm all for quarantining with a stomach bug. I hate those like the plague! LOL I've heard so many stories of them being passed around because people go out when they are still contagious.

Carol, I'm glad you are doing better!
