Personally I started with ASC 3 to get her style down.
I would do one section at a time, multiple times, for my workout. When I first started I would do combo 1 for a couple days. Then I'd do combo 1 & 2 together for a while and so on. I didn't find it tedious because I was so proud of myself for getting it Then I did ASC 2, but by then I didn't have to do quite as much repetition. I never did 1 or 4.

I also started with ASC3 learning combo by combo as my warm up to other workouts. Never finished learning all the combos but that's just because I haven't been working out as much as I used to.
I found the choreography doable although somewhat trickier than Cathe. I think it was less tricky than the Seasun Zieger I was trying to learn at the time. |

ASC2 is my favorite, followed by 3. 4&5 I found difficult to learn. I think I'm going to have to go back and try to learn them by breaking them down by chapters.
I'm excited she's making another step workout. I love her personality, plus she usually uses great music fun music IMO.

ASC2 is definitely my favorite, although I have yet to try 5. I think that out of the first four, ASC3 is the easiest to learn. ASC4 spends a lot of time on all sides of the step and the set, along with being hot pink, is a little dark. That darkness makes it hard to see what is going on all the time. And it's not just the dimness - it's dim, along with everything on set (even the clothes and props) being black or gray except for the HOT pink. Personally, I like the pink. I just wish it had been contrasted with white.

I also really like ASC 2&3 - some great moves, fun music. I also like the premixes on these, something new and different to try in the workout.
I may be in the minority, but I actually really like the first ASC too - that may be due to nostalgia, and remembering how much fun it was to discover it. But I do think part of the lasting power is that it is shorter compared to the others and there is a less TIFT'ing - she doesn't put all of the combos together at the end, so less repetition. And by the end your heart rate is soaring. I actually really like ASC5, too, though it was harder for me to learn at first - needed her preview to get it down. But I think it is fun, like the power moves in the combos, etc. ASC4 is probably my least favorite - I still do it, but reach for it less often than the others. I don't know why, just not feeling it as much I guess. I will say here - I have no problems subbing in something for a move that isn't working for me; I rarely do twists or 360 turns or things of that nature. So the twisty moves in ASC5 just don't exist in my version of ASC 5.
