February 2022 Add 'em up Goals & Habits Challenge ~Join us!

Come join us in setting and achieving goals to promote your overall wellness! We are a friendly and welcoming group who love to chat when we have time, but please also feel free to join us if you want to just focus on your goals. No pressure here to address everyone; share as little or as much as you want!

We have been doing this challenge for many years now. While it is not strictly about fitness goals, we agree that our daily habits work together with our fitness goals to make us happier and more balanced, so we combine them in this challenge. Feel free to join us! You can tailor it to your schedule if you need to take a week off for vacation or only count so many days. Whatever works for you!

Premise: Choose your goals for the month. Every time you complete a goal you get a point. Multiply your number of daily goals by the number of days in the month. This is your max total points. If you choose, reward yourself for reaching a certain percentage of your max possible (I use 90% for my personal goal), multiply by your max to get your total goal points. I also give myself extra credit options.

**Take this challenge however you wish. I used to total my points all the time but have fallen away from that and now just track my goals. There really are no rules, your challenge is your own, we're just here for support and to help each other with accountability. We would love to have you join us!

Had to do it in only black ink but my February spreadsheets are actually printed! I ordered more ink last night. Didn't realize how many were so low.

I felt all out of sorts and at loose ends yesterday. My great aunt passed away on Friday and I was making plans to go back for her funeral, then spent a couple days debating bc of a big predicted snowstorm there and then decided it was better to stay home, but then I just couldn't get back into a "normal" Monday. I finally tore the shrinkwrap off Denise Austin Burn Fat Fast Latin Dance. Not the best choice for the day since I was irritable. Usually I don't let her silly comments get to me but she annoyed me yesterday. The workout was fine and I finished it but wished I had chosen Zumba or Leslie. Then I did Rodney Yee Yoga for Energy & Relaxation. I chose the bonus Soothe & Stretch section but was disappointed that it was almost all forward bends, which I really shouldn't be doing much of bc of my hamstring tendons so I had to basically modify the whole thing, which was not the relaxing grounding practice I was looking for. I know I could have switched workouts but I didn't have the mental energy so just went with it. I think what I did still did help some and it was movement anyway so that was good.

Now that I know I won't be gone the end of this week I need to do what I meant to do over the weekend and set up a training schedule for snowshoeing.

I got 84% for January. So not as good as I would like but I count the month as a win bc I finally tracked the entire month again!

I made my goals by 6 pts in January which was a nice surprise. We got rain a few days ago and then it froze and now is covered with snow. Way too icy to do much outside but it's supposed to get warmer soon. I'm glad February is a short month. I've had more cabin fever than usual this winter and as a result, eating too much even though I've been exercising daily. I plan on doing a dvd today, have not chosen yet.

Vannie, is Caroline's glute activation workout on youtube?

MT, Hope February is a better month for you(and me too!). A friend inspired me to use the tag line "do the next thing" which has helped me on those off days.

Hi Sherry, hope you'll join us!

Here it is, Katie! I use it and her two high hamstring tendonitis ones a lot. Nice job making your January goals!

I forget half of what I need to do, but maybe writing it down will help.

1. Exercise each day, stretch or yoga workout once a week
2. Eat more fruits and vegetables
3. Meditate with my Calm App
4. Read aloud to myself for 15 minutes to improve my hearing comprehension
5. Ten kegels three times a day
