Barefoot & on the Mat March 2022: Spring is coming!

Welcome to the Barefoot Check-in! We enjoy a multitude of barefoot workouts…..yoga, Pilates, Classical Stretch/Essentrics, kickboxing, kettlebells, barefoot cardio. The list goes on & we welcome all! We are a friendly group of diverse ages and backgrounds. Post your workouts or not, no rules here...we'd love to have you join us in any capacity.

Bendy Body (Stretching the Legs & Hips practice)

I have quad DOMS from the thigh dancing exercise in Margaret's Raising the Bar.

It's 79 degrees and beautiful today outside!

~Taught Essentrics
~Neighborhood walk
~Functional fitness cleaning & organizing for the family coming, racked up over 10,000 steps.
~Kinesiology mobility exercises & stretches

Paine - Your temps sound lovely, but are they worrisome for potential drought come summer?

Hi all!

Yogapam: Thanks for starting us off this month! I can't speak for Paine but here in Northern California it looks like yet another drought year for us, going by the paucity of the snow pack in the Sierras. I've been conducting an experiment to see if I can water all of my patio plants (which fortunately are mostly succulents) with just the water I catch in a bucket while waiting for my shower to warm up. So far so good! That will be one way to keep down water usage.

No workout for me today -- I went to a birthday party!

Tuesday's Workout: The Upper Body routine from Jessica Smith's Walk Strong 3.

I walked outside for an hour both yesterday and today in my new Rykas. Looks like these will work out for me.

Sandra - That’s an awesome way to save water! We were very dry here last summer too and were on water restrictions. We have two big dehumidifiers going in the lower floor of our house as it gets humid this close to the ocean. We watered our plants with the water we drained from them. It worked great! Glad to hear the new shoes are working well for you.

Well my day did not turn out as planned, which would have been LWR's first workout in the March walking challenge plus lifting with Cee. So I switched gears for:

~ Kassandra's new 30 Minute Reclined Yin Yoga
~ Attended a yoga studio Zoom group meditation for world peace
~ 4,239 steps

I liked the Kassandra a lot - all on the floor but still had some challenges. I've been wanting more 30 minute routines from her.

Covering for my co-worker - back to chat in a minute.
