And I did my workout in the living room, no a/c, I had the fan on but I almost didn't feel it, droplets of sweat were flying off of my arms with all those arm movements, and I was hoping they didn't fall in my glass of water

time to bring out one of my water bottles!

Hi, ladies. I didn't do much working out this week. Got my teeth cleaned, was supposed to have a cyst removed but instead had to have a steroid shot to make it less inflamed. Worked my last day on Wednesday - hooray! Got plants for the garden and planted them yesterday, along with pruning some of the roses. Today I have a monster headache.
I'm with all of you who are miserable in the heat. It's in the 90s here, which is usually late August weather. We are melting!
ASAS, I was pouring sweat when I was outside yesterday. Not fun.
T2B, first thing is the only time to go to a Walmart

ASAS, everything about your Birthday sounds lovely from a prepared special meal to $$$ to having fun with video games!!
We had the gift of summer rain last night, so I went for a nice walk in the neighbourhood with the scent of blossoms in the air!! What a relief from the heat for a bit.
CDayley, you've retired? Big Congrats!!

T2B, nope no contacts or glasses!

It is so weird since I’ve had glasses for 51 years and contacts 42 years! I don’t mind some heat but that humidity is what gets me. It is 6:40 am and already 71 degrees with 80% humidity.

It’s going to be a HOT and STICKY day today!

I feel like I’m in Florida.

CDayley, Congrats!! I hope your headache is gone by now.

The good thing with this heat is my laundry is drying quickly!

Hi, ladies. We went to our son's graduation from Residency in Ohio. It was great; DIL's parents, aunt and uncle, and sister were all there. It was good to see all of them. The graduation was awesome; very emotional. It's been a long road for all the Residents. I did a walk (to the ice cream place) while I was there, and discovered that heat, humidity and hills are NOT a good combination for me. I had to wait while someone went and got the car. I still get super winded on stairs or hills.
Today I walked on the treadmill, and it was better. I think I'll stick with that for a while. I planted a bunch of the flowers I bought before we left. Tomorrow I'm going flower shopping in Utah.
ASAS, we need rain here too. It's so hot in the west, and so many drought conditions.
Cher, it would be awesome to not need glasses or contacts anymore. Humidity is rough for me too.
Elsie, I'm a school counselor, so I just have the summer off

Retirement is two years away, I think.

AnMrsDe, good idea to do concentrate on how your body feels after a workout. I’m all for that.

Cher, I am so, so envious of you're not having to wear glasses/contacts!! From a glasses wearer since 2nd grade and a contacts wearer since 8th grade, I couldn't even imagine!! It's just like getting Lasik!! (DS got Lasik last year and it has been fabulous for him. He says that definitely was the highlight of 2020 for him!). So glad everything worked out for you and our prayers were answered!

T2B, I had to chuckle at your ice cream comments! Well, until about a week ago, I was the same way! It wasn't Dove bars but Magnum Double Carmel ice cream bars for me! When did they start making those things? OMG, so addictive and SO good! (I had to quit buying them cause it was just ridiculous how often I wanted one!)

It's really funny, though, since I've been doing less intense workouts lately, how my appetite has really diminished!! Yay - some days not any Magnum bars are eaten!

Jane, maybe you've been in a pizza coma enjoying too many homemade pizzas in your new pizza oven to post your workouts, LOL??

AnMrsDe - I’m going to follow you and stop buying ice cream. As a matter of fact, last Saturday, when I bought ice cream, I got Dove bars, Hagen Daz bars & the Magnum Double Caramel bars (they are good).. I have been having 1 ever day. After the last one is gone, I’m going to lay off for awhile. They are so good, and is an especially good, cooling way to end these hot days. Lol. I haven’t lost any weight since Feb, still playing with the same 2 to 5 lbs so I am going to recommit to eating a little better. Still down 32# pounds overall so very pleased to have been at this plateau but if I can do another 18#’s by the time I get to week 26 of 26, even better.

Good to hear that your appetite decreased since taking it down a notch. I hope your body continues to feel better, too.

Cher - that is awesome that you no longer need contacts or glasses. I have only worn contacts 3 times since March 2020 ( I have a 90 day supply that I should use before my next eye exam). I should start wearing my contacts again but it is just so easy to wear glasses. Although I need new glasses, (mine are a mess, but I don’t care). Lol. I wear my glasses, and when I’m out, I wear sunglasses over my glasses. Lol. Folks always look at me like I’m crazy when I remove my sunglasses and glasses are underneath. I thought everyone did this.

AsSweet - been trying to figure out those Clubz workouts you’ve been doing. Never heard of those.

Chrys - you do have a beautiful garden. Looks like a lot of hot, hard work!

Yes, Ice Cream for everyone!!! Lol. The local sundae spot here is interfering with my weight loss (among other things of course!) Lost 14 pounds since late November, but now I'm up 3 pounds again.
