step workouts that you do as floor aerobics

i did KCM Step Boxing from 2006 (not to be confused with 30 MTF step boxing or her other cardio kick step boxing).

i used just a blank padded floor with an imaginary step. i was pretty sweaty. the pace is fast.

i would do this one again the same way - as a floor workout.

how about you? i know this has been brought up before.

I've done that with Karen Voight cardio/strength and most every fitprime.

Yep, pretty much every one I've ever done on a step can be done on the floor. Especially since my knees complain. I can get away with a 4 inch a few times a month but otherwise forget it. Still good workouts.

As I was driving to work this morning, thinking about what workout I want to do today, Cathe's Circuit Max came to mind. I don't do much step anymore so thought I would do the step moves on the floor. Timely thread!! I'll be HEAVILY modifying the high impact moves as well.

I had a hip replacement this summer, and doing step on the floor is a great way to kinda adhere to my surgeon's advice to 'take it easy'. I've been trying to modify my Cathes and KCMs to accommodate post-surgery restrictions, so thanks for the reminder that not all exercise videos need to be done exactly as shown on the screen!
(And I have new-found appreciation for Lauren's modifications in Kelly's routines.)

I don’t do any step workouts anymore due to sore knees. The closest I get are Firm workouts that use the Fanny Lifter/Transfirmer for some step cardio/warmups. I do that on the floor.

It's not a traditional "step aerobic" workout, but the newer Shaun T Transform 20 workouts on BB.com use a step. But I have only done them without one--and they are still very challenging. (the modifier doesn't use a step either).
