Beth, I did your Lunchtime Yoga #3 and I enjoyed it! It felt good and I liked the balance challenge.
Oh you should finish that yoga pose cross-stitch project because I think you'll love it when it's done. You could work a few minutes on it each day to cut down on the dread factor.

Garrie, thank you for the link to your favorite Caroline upper body on YouTube--I bookmarked it!

Karen Jo, I'm glad your mom is better and wish her continued healing.
Do you miss Seattle?

Margot, I wouldn't have been able to crochet stuffed toys if I hadn't had patterns to follow!

Paine, glad you liked the video! I'll probably due more videos for the lunchtime series; they are easier for me to film since they are shorter, and the training I just did give me plenty of ideas for things to incorporate.

I took Karen Jo's advice and did some kickboxing tonight (KB-Squared with Amy Bento); it did help. I also did some yoga for shoulders, which was nice after sitting all day. I don't know if I mentioned before that I scheduled a massage (90 minutes!) for 10/30, so I'm definitely looking forward to that.

Hope everyone has survived this Monday!!!

Good morning everyone! I'm sorry to disappear. My arm situation flared up and then I sprained my little toe and was so disappointed I couldn't walk during the glorious October weather we had.

However, I got to see my adorable great grandnephew 2, who I haven't seen since Christmas before COVID. He gave me so many hugs and smooches I just couldn't stay sad for long.

Here's what I've been up to:

Friday:
~ YWK 20 Minute Morning Yin Yoga Stretch plus affirmations
~ 20 minute lunch walk
~ 5,622 steps

Saturday - nothing formal; 3,222 steps

Sunday - Nothing formal; 2,322 steps

Monday:
~ Winsor Pilates Power Sculpting
~ YWK 10 Minutes Hands Free Morning Yoga
~ 4,324 steps

I'm hopefully behind! Hello to one and all, and make it a great day!

Give Me Strength (upper body work plus Abs)

Beth, you are going to love your massage later this month!

Pat, I hope your flare-up and sprained toe resolves quickly.
I liked hearing about the hugs from your sweet grandnephew!

Pat, I saw your pic with your great-nephew - so cute! It must have been a joy to finally see him again.

Paine, yes, definitely thrilled about the massage - I saw this person for the first time back in April and really liked her.

Happy Tuesday!

Todays workouts:
~Taught Essentrics
~PT exercises
~Ellen’s Affirmative Flow - 15 min, all standing yoga flow, gentle & stretchy
~Jessica Vallant Knee Friendly Pilates - This was knee friendly but still a bit challenging
~MFML: Quick Fix Hatha

I’ve also been doing some thoracic acupressure every day for about 10 days now. I’m using balls that are softer than the YTU balls, those are too painful at this point. I think I’ll add supported fish pose as well. I always have a lot of tightness in that area from a mild scoliosis, reading & screen time don’t help. My sister has quite a significant kyphosis, she does a lot of cycling which is another contributor. It really ages her. My dad had it too so I think there’s a hereditary structural tendency there. I really want to avoid it so hoping this will help.

Pat - I’m sorry your arm is still flaring up and your toe is keeping you from your beloved beach walks. I saw the cute pictures with your grandnephew, so happy you can get together!

Beth - The massage sounds lovely. I hope to get for one soon too, it’s been too long!

We are off to the city tomorrow for five nights, should be fun.
Waves to all!

Pam, I wish I could do massage every week! Hope you can schedule one soon.

Happy Wednesday! Here's a little sloth Halloween funny I saw yesterday:

Good morning all! Yesterday featured:

~ YWK 15 Minute Morning Yin plus affirmations
~ Jane Fonda Firm & Burn, Doo-Wop
~ 6,674 steps

I was able to gimp through the Fonda workout with my Oofo flip flops so that was good news.

Beth - it was truly wonderful to see him - and his parents. I've wondered if we would lose some of our immunity with all the protections, too.

Pam, good luck with your thoracic home therapy. Supported fish is very helpful for me. I used a Pilates mini ball under my shoulders instead of a block, it's dreamy.

Sandra, oh no! I hope this cold doesn't linger like the last one.

KarenJo, it looks like you're having some struggles too. I hope your ear situation calms down. I sure hope your Mom remains COVID free.

Cyana - LOL re: the light.

Good morning Paine, Gary, Margot, Carolyn and anyone who visits!

Hello everyone!

Yesterday I drove to a small town in Wales and had a nice visit with my former tutor. I've been feeling tired out since we arrived back from our vacation and think I probably overdid it with so many full days of hiking. I started sneezing this lunchtime - eek! Fingers crossed, it's just my allergies kicking in. I hope you're feeling better today Sandra.

Yesterday was:
- Ellen Barrett 4 Elements Flow
- ETV Amanda Standing & Barre

Today:
- HealthBarre No Props Required
- Beth's Lunchtime Practice #3

Beth - I love all the balance work you are putting into these lunchtime short practices. It's something I need and I do think I'm improving, slowly but surely. Karin (Slings) did a similar twisting movement of the pelvis in tree pose. That was quite challenging for me. I like your midweek funny - very cute.

Pat - I'm glad you're feeling better enough to get in your workout. How lovely to see your great grandnephew. That must have been a real tonic.

Pam - Hope the acupressure helps. I keep doing Essentrics because it's so focussed on posture. Have a lovely time in the city.

Paine - Hope you're enjoying the lovely sunshine. Does it ever get cold during the winter where you are?

Waving to all.
