Anyone have Trudie Styler/James D'Silva workouts?

I have Cardio Dance Flow which I bought for the foam roller workout - it's wonderful - like a 25 minute therapy session, or so it seems to me.

I'm not really interested in the dance workout but I may try it sometime when I get up too late to walk outside before it gets hot.

Just wondering if anyone else has used this foam roller workout and what is your opinion of it?

I don't have it but it sounds like I should - I am a sucker for foam roller workouts....

But please tell me more - is it using the foam roller as a balance prop for Pilates- or yoga-type moves, or it is using it as an actual roller?

At one time I wore out this DVD. I love the dance segment. It is like a hybrid of dance, stretching and yoga and it makes me feel good especially when I want to do a "lighter" workout. The foam roller segment is a great for myofascial release and is so therapeutic and calming. I have not done this workout in a while but now that you mention it I am going to do it this weekend.

I don't have any other experience with foam rollers so I'm not sure how to answer your question, Bex. Most of it is using the roller to position yourself for various stretches, but there are several moves where you roll it under the side and then front of the thighs. Total Fitness has it for $9.99.

Didn't know about the foam roller segment. I believe I saw this one at my Dollar Tree and thought it wasn't for me. Now I'll have to go back and see if they still have it

OLD THREAD ALERT!

I did the EXCELLENT foam roller segment today, clocking in at 25:48 min (longer than what the label said at 20 min). i've done the Cardio dance workout before (4 years ago!!). James is alone and wears a light-colored tank top and dark (either navy or black) bermuda-length, loose cut-off sweat pants. this is filmed outdoors. Cardio Dance Flow DVD was released in 2009.

Question: are any of the following 3 workouts (2 other DVDs and a youtube workout) repeated footage of eachother? you know how Gaiam loves to repackage things.

i've seen 2 workouts that were probably sold with a Gaiam foam roller, sold in a cardboard sleeve.

1) Restore Muscle Therapy Foam Roller, 2011, 15 min
2) Stretch & Strength Workout, 2010, 24 min

i also saw this Gaiam Foam Roller workout (three segments that total 12:16 min) on youtube where James is wearing a navy tank top with short black shorts. it's different footage than the one on the Cardio Dance DVD.

Love this workout for all the same reasons. Just thought I'd give it plug especially since it can be had for a reasonable price.
