Favorite four limbed-ish

ahh, it's winter. My workouts always change to more mish mash and whatever I'm willing to do that day. When I don't want to work out, I like to do weight assisted cardio.

I did search the archives and did not find a thread. So what is your favorite workout that is mostly four limbed cardio-ish? Or a light toning with cardio affect? Which Firms are mostly four-limbed movements? I'll post kettlebell types workouts in my next thread as those tend to be much harder than cardio with light weights.

Any others? I know many people like slim in six or slim series by debbie seibers- she's not my thing - although I do have several of her workouts, LOL. I use these on rare occasions.
I'm looking for suggestions, these can be mixes of cardio, wts and cardiowts.

Thank you. And is there a four limbed thread somewhere?

When I want 4 Limb or cardio/weight combos it's usually The Firm I go for. I like several from most of the series released. Some of the DVDs like Hi Def Sculpt and Total Body Toner can up the weight used and others are light to moderate but get the HR up there.

When I look back at every instructor or brand I've used, The Firm is the most consistent. I don't know why, but I'm always drawn back to Firm workouts (and Leslie Sansone).

Sorry about the Firm ? Specifically- The Pinks especially are 4 Limb! BSS1-4 also have 4 limb but you'll also find some good strength workout too. The Wave IMO is mostly 4 limb and balance challenge- depending on what one would consider "challenge".

Also- most anything that is listed as "cardio" for the Firm is usually 4-limb except for dance workouts.

Again, most of the Pinks regardless of intensity level would be 4 limb, most go a little to fast to be heavy weight workouts. The Cardio-only's from the BSS's are 4 Limbs as well.

Which are your favorites? Any other recommendations- other than hi def and tbt? I'll probably have Gaiam tv for a few months and they have ton of firms, I just don't know where to start. Thank you!

My Recs other than TBT and HDS: HDS isn't really 4 limb Cardio-Weight but it's just a good workout!

* Get Chisel'd
* The Ultimate Fat Burning Collection
* 500 Calorie Workout- provided you don't have bad knees & carpeting; lots of twisting but it's also a good, fun workout!
* Total Body Time Crunch
* Power Half Hour- not as manic as FE but gets Emily is still a little spastic
* The Resistance Cord Workout
* Dangerous Curves Ahead
* BSS1/2's Cardio Sculpt Blaster and Super Cardio Sculpt- uses fanny lifter
* Jiggle Free Series- uses TransFirmer and I love this Series- more controlled, heavier weight but also some good cardio too! And shorter workouts!
* Total Muscle Shaping (amazon and ebay only)- BSS3
* Body Sculpt Blaster- although not 4 limb it keeps the HR Up!
* Aerobic Body Shaping w/Allie- TransFirmer
* Ultimate Calorie Blaster- uses TransFirmer although not my favorite workout and I got rid of it.
* Complete Body Sculpting- BSS3

BSS3 uses what was known as the Death Box. If you have the TransFirmer, that is much more sturdy and easier to set up.

Another vote for Firm Cardio Sculpt Blaster though it's not entirely 4 limb aerobics. Just a few sections. You can probably find it cheaply on Amazon. I don't have Super Cardio Sculpt anymore but that one was a little longer (40 min), CSB is 30 minutes.

It is just me or are some of the older Firms, even BSS's harder to find nowadays? You can find them on Amazon, and probably the Firm website but not many of them are available at Collage or Mary's site anymore.

Just a thought...

I always thought Ellen's Crunch Firm & Burn Pilates was 4 limb-ish. When I first got it back in the day most of my workouts were Firms and I liked Ellen's because I felt it was very similar type of moves although Ellen is always more pilates influenced with a lot of plies if I remember correctly.

You are correct and I have a Prevention/Self workout, that is toning with light weights. Has a 4 limbed effect. Thanks.
