I have to have fragrance free, which makes it more difficult, especially finding an affordable one.

For my face, I like the Elta MD sunscreens. They have a mineral one that’s tinted. But I usually use the Eucerin Sensitive Skin Face Lotion SPF 30. It’s a combination sunscreen, so the cast isn’t too white. Some people like the Black Girl Sunscreens from Target. You can tell by the name no white cast! I haven’t tried them yet, but want to.

For my body, I like Trader Joe’s. It’s affordable and a nice lotion texture. Sometimes I get a Banana Boat mineral one and just put up with the white cast. It’s the only fragrance free one at the drugstore. The online ones are pricey for the whole body.

I appreciate all the recommendations. I’m going to place a few online orders and hit up Target this week.

The past few days I've had a severe urge to cut my hair and go back to my favorite pixie cut! I've been growing it out for a while and I'm sick of it. The only thing stopping me is that the Covid numbers have been going up here and indoor masking may be implemented again.

Some doomsayers are predicting a dire Fall this year. I don't want a high-maintenance haircut and then things go to hell again.

At least for now, I can put it back in a ponytail.

I so can relate to this urge! I would love to try Halle Berry's new bixie cut. But shorter haircuts require more maintenance to keep them looking good. Right now I have shoulder length hair that I wear in a ponytail most of the time. It's easy.

I've been meaning to report that I have found an inexpensive hairspray I like that doesn't seem to clog! It's Suave Flexible Control (silver can); it also has a nice light scent that I like.

Okay, looking for new recs - does anyone have an inexpensive drugstore deep conditioner they really like? My fine hair has always needed conditioning (or it tangles), but whereas it used to be more oily, as more gray is coming in (!), it's getting more dry. I am looking for a rinse out product (what happened to the term "cream rinse"?) rather than a leave-in product. Thanks!

Garnier Fructis has really good conditioners. You probably wouldn't like the one I use (Triple Nutrition), because I have very thick hair. But they have a large number of formulas.

Thanks Carol! I've used them in the past but it's been awhile. I am using a Herbal Essences one I like, but I find that I need to alternate with something more intense. I will revisit Garnier!

I like the Suave hairspray too.

My hair is similar to yours and I really like the L'Oreal conditioners like this one

These seem to give me the best results for an inexpensive conditioner. I like the Garnier Fructis shampoos but the conditioners don't seem to do much for me.

Thanks Erica - another one for me to check out! (I have to admit, I LOVE the upside down bottles; I turn most of my products upside down after I've used only about 1/4. )

Me too! I'll even prop them up against something else if necessary!
