Rowing machine scenery?

I have ordered a small home rowing machine, but one of the reviews on it warned that it got "boring" so advised users to watch TV while using it. I was wondering if, instead, there were DVDs or YouTube streams of lake scenery that someone could use instead. I've been having great luck with home walking/jogging sessions that use a DVD of nature scenes while listening to podcasts, and want to try the same thing with the rowing machine, but I'm coming up empty. I don't want to splurge for any sort of app that would do this, just something I could either stream or buy a DVD copy of. Otherwise I'll probably just position it so I can at least look out the window or something. I feel like trying to watch regular TV while using it would make me lack concentration for both activities.

Any other rowing machine fans?

I think Ambient has some downloads of rowing/paddling scenery but I haven't bought them. There's one or two YouTube channels I have used. I'll find what they are and post, hopefully later today.

your public library might also offer Kanopy, a free source of online movies and documentaries. they have some fitness-related videos too, but you might be more interested in travel-type videos or documentaries that have scenery.

it's pretty easy - you just need a library card and link to Kanopy.

edited to add:
they have the series "Great Courses" too, and unlike youtube, it's ad-free without having to get up and click on "skip ad" once you start watching.

I’ve rowed 4x a week since I got my machine in January. It does get boring, lol. I don’t care much for the rowing scenery videos on YouTube because they seem to trigger my motion sickness. I usually watch movies and tv shows, especially ones I’ve seen before and enjoy rewatching. That way I don’t miss any important details — I’m watching from my small phone and it’s decently far away.

I used to follow along with the rowing videos from Fitscope on YT…but they only have a few and I got tired of them. They were great to get me started, though.

Maybe I need to start watching TV shows when I row. Hubby bought a Concept 2 Rower a few years ago and uses it faithfully. Me...not so much. I can do it for a couple of workouts and then I am bored out of my mind. I really, really want to love it but it hasn't clicked for me yet. I even joined Dark Horse rowing (a sort of online school/training program) but it got to be too much about the numbers and stats for me.

I want a C2 so bad! I have a Stamina orbital arm rower and it is completely different from the C2. I like Dark Horse Rowing and love Shane but without the right rower and monitor I don't enjoy it as much. I do still use the channel though. The last two years I've tried to do Rowvember, but again, without a monitor that tells me real-time SPM it's not as fun.

Thank you all so much for the great video links and suggestions! I do worry about getting bored; I had a smaller, cheap rower years ago and when it stopped working perfectly, instead of fixing it, I threw it out, because I did find it boring. My plan is to use it to do Jennifer Aniston's "15-15-15" workout where you do three different machines but for only 15 minutes each, and use the rower, my exercise bike, and then do 15 minutes of a walking video to round out my session. So you're never really on the rower so long that you'd get deathly bored. I think with a scenery video and a podcast, I'd be okay.

Of course, I'll reveal what happens after I try this for a while. haha

I don't know anything about Jennifer Aniston's workout, but I have a couple times tried 15 min each on bike, elliptical and rower and did enjoy it!
