Yah I got my package and I was so excited :D that I could not wait till Xmas so I ripped it open. My package came from beautiful Canada so my guess is my Santa is Pam/ Yogapam but I could be wrong or? There was no card but the first letter is P so…;)

I got Classical Stretch Season 13 ( Core Strength series). This was way high on my wishlist so thank you sooo much. :heart:I was to late home to do it today but maybe tomorrow.
What I not expected that there were 2 extra dvds:
Classical Stretch Aging Backwards and Essentrics toning for beginners. Thank you Santa so great of you to add those
Also Xmas socks which I asked for. I will wear those on Friday.
I really appreciate all the effort and am very happy with my gifts.

Would you please reveal yourself.

Again thank you so much Santa P.
I wish you a Merry Christmas and a happy holiday!:sun:

Yay!!! :music: So glad it arrived, & you guessed right Nelly!

I was so worried as I mailed it Nov 18 and they told me it would take about 2 weeks. I hope you enjoy the dvds. The Aging Backwards set is the American PBS one that was a gift with donation when Miranda debuted one of her CS seasons on PBS. It was never sold on the Essentrics website. I’m not sure if you’ve done any of Miranda’s daughter Sahra’s workouts, but thought you might enjoy her Toning for Beginners.

I wanted to add more little goodies but I was in a hurry to mail it as it literally had to go halfway around the world. I am soooo glad I mailed it early! I realized after I mailed it I’d forgotten to put the card in. :o

Wishing you a very Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year!

fanofladyvols 12-21-21 06:06 PM

So happy to hear you have your package, Nelly !!

sherry7899 12-22-21 12:16 PM

I received a package of five organic chocolate bars (directly from the company) with no note. Did someone from VF send them? Thank you!

Sherry

fanofladyvols 12-24-21 12:03 PM

Thank you Nellyyyy!!

So last night at 7 my husband was down at the mailbox talking to our neighbor.

So my package had to have been delivered later than that.

Well the raccoons attacked the box overnight and managed to kidnap two candy bars. My husband says it looks like a war zone...

The good news is they weren't able to get to the tin of candy and weren't interested in the rest of the packages :D.

Sooo I will post again once I open them all because I just can't wait now that I was nearly robbed by the merry band of furry porch pirates!!

Before I even open...Thank you, Nelly!

Pat58 12-24-21 12:44 PM

Christmas Eve is here and I just sat down to open my Santa gift. As soon as I opened the box and saw a beautiful crocheted scarf, I knew it was my Barefoot Buddy Garrie!

I adore the scarf, it's so thick and cozy and a lovely dark orange shade that reminds me of spices - a blend of cloves, cinnamon and nutmeg. Speaking of spices, I'm surrounded with the smells of hand crafted soaps in Winter Whisper, Nordic Spruce and Winter Berries, plus four delicious spiced votive candles.

Garrie also gave me thick, lined Dear Foams socks to keep my feet warm during my chilly morning yin practice, "Heavenly Hunks" oatmeal chocolate chip gluten free cookies, and Ellen Barrett's Slim and Sleek Fast for my retro DVDs collection.

Thank you so much, you Heavenly Hunk you. I've been feeling very blue this Christmas season, and struggling in the motivation department, but this was such a huge pick me up and I thank you for it.

Namaste! It was so nice chatting with you on the Zoom meet-up, too.

fanofladyvols 12-24-21 12:46 PM

So on top of the Kettlebell kickboxing workout sets she sent earlier!

Here's what Nelly sent:
  • Kristin Dowell Dressed up drills,
  • Jenny Ford coast to coast vol. 1,
  • Jenny Ford Spicy Step(DVD that has multiple workouts),
  • Brett Hoebel Ignite Hi intensity
  • Kim Mullen Dance and Be Fit: lower body burn
  • a tin that has plaid kitty necklace and some coin and dollar shaped chocolate and is delicious. There are 15 left and I will behave nibble the rest to make them last. The tin white and blue and has Dutch writing but I think depicts the seasons on the lid. I love it!
  • Tonique cardio mat
  • a compilation DVD with some YouTube workouts
  • Pink floral stationary that all my pen pals will see soon.
  • Blue thin gloves that will work perfectly for my hikes
And last, but not least..a beautiful blue and white plaque with these sayings that I will keep on my desk
"Don't just work hard, work smart."
    "Mirror mirror on the wall,
I'll always get up after I fall.
    And whether I run,
walk, do a workout or crawl,
    I'll set my goals
    and achieve them all!"

Nelly, sweet friend, you have buoyed my spirit up with your kindness and generosity. :music:
Great...BIG..HUGzzzz

P.S. I had just whined to Sherry that I didn't know who my VF Santa was this AM :p I'm so glad I found out in time for Christmas !!

Pat58 12-24-21 12:54 PM

fanofladyvols how fun! We opened our gift boxes at the same time!

Nelly G 12-24-21 01:35 PM

Linda I bought 2 Xmas collars for your cat. One red and one green. Did the raccoons took them too:confused: there was one very big Chocolate bar ( not small) more the seize of a book.

Did you try the Kettlebell kickboxing sets which arrived from Canada?
One was the best kettlebell with kickboxing combined and the other was more about bodyweight workouts. I thought that you would like both.

I did not want to ask when they did arrive because I did not wanted to reveal that time that one package would still arrive from the Netherlands. I was scared that I got a message that they delivered the package to a person they said ( because there had to be signed for it), but there was no message about it at Videofitness.

I made a You Tube compilation dvd because you told me you could not do the You Tube workouts.

How fun we did, Pat!

Nelly my husband found the green collar in the woods with the remains of the chocolate bar but the raccoons had shredded the green collar :(...I'm so sorry.

I'm so glad you put the red collar in the tin ...she's wearing it now. :D

I am glad only the green collar an the chocolate were the only things that were confiscated by the racoons otherwise it was a disaster. Why did the post not let ypu sign for the parcel because I have paid for that and not that they left the parcel on the doorstep for the racoons:confused:
Do you know that the parcel was really good closed so they must have been really busy with their claws. :sun:

We figured out something else...My daughter was home after 9 and the box wasn't there then so this box was delivered REALLY late!

As to the box, my husband said it looked like a crime scene with cardboard bits everywhere..they basically chewed through a side of the box (smelling the chocolate, I think).

And oh, I forgot to mention the first thing my husband said, " I can't tell who it's from or what everything is but there are some packages that look like DVDs and the good news is those look fine!" Ha ha !! :D:cool:

When I mentioned there might be more he was so sweet to go hunt. He thinks they held some meeting on a log because the debris was scattered around it.

Those rascally racoons! I am sorry they messed up your package from Nelly but it is kind of funny visualizing the racoons meeting around the log munching on chocolate.
Thank you everyone for participating in the exchange. It was a bright spot for me this year. Wishing everyone who celebrates a peaceful and happy Christmas.

Finally opened my VF gift this morning! It was the only gift left under the tree. So very exciting for me. Thanks to Sidlynn for a wonderful package and many delights!

First, she got some treats for my dogs --- they will be thrilled!

Next - she got me a burgundy knit infinity scarf and matching gloves. The gloves are also burgundy with white fingers --- but the have silver tips on the thumb and first finger which made me realize that they were for tech (even though the gloves did not say it. I never had a knit glove that worked with tech. So I tried it out and sure enough - they work beautifully with my phone!

I also got fuzzy socks - covered with snowflakes and a polar bear - very cute!

And a monogrammed kitchen towel --- never enough of those! A plaid reindeer ornament for my tree!

I got a barbell eraser - lol! It's a huge eraser shaped like a barbell with 3 plates on each end. She also sent some lip balm - always welcome! And Trader Joe's toffee chips --- yum!!! Eating one now -- one of my absolute favorites!

Last - I got 4 DVDs!! KCM's Total body kickbox - will probably do that one today! And then two Ellen Barrett Crunch pilates DVDs --- Fat burning & Burn & firm - which is funny because I just Super slimdown this week! And last I got Sadie Lincoln's Barre3 Standing Slim - which I had lent out and never got back - so I am glad to have it again!

Thanks Cindy!!! And I hope everyone has a wonderful and healthy holiday season filled with fun workouts!

Sidlynn 12-25-21 03:38 PM

You're so very welcome, Anne! Merry Christmas!

Pat, you are very welcome! I had a lot of fun picking out your gifts and crocheting your scarf. Since it was made from a super bulky yarn and a textured stitch pattern, I was able to zigzag the scarf in the box and use it as a faux "bubble wrap". Those Heavenly Hunk cookies are yummy, and they have other flavors too (but the oatmeal chocolate chip ones are my favorite). And I enjoyed meeting you and everyone else on the Zoom chat, too! I'd love to do another one.

Pat58 12-26-21 09:24 AM

Garrie, I loved how you used the scarf to reduce packaging, too! Plus it smells a little bit like all those lovely aromas. :yummy:

Wow - sounds lovely!

JENILU 01-20-22 05:14 PM

this is wayyyyyy long overdue, and I was embaressed to even post at this point, but so much has gone on and I beg forgiveness for my lateness, but FANOFLADYVOLS deserves her thankyou so much, even if its very belated.(I did say a personal thankyou, but it so deserves it here). I can't remember every detail, but I know my package was done with so much loving care and fixed in a way that I could have done 1 a day for 12 or more days. I loved that, as I have always wanted one of those countdown calnders. If I miss anything since some has been spread out (I tried to keep most together til I could do this but- chocolate, and having to preview atleast 1.) I temparilty cannot do weights while in PT, so some are on hold, but I am excited tomtry them as soon as possible. Anyway, ....
- I received several wonderful DVDs!! I got the Walk On 3 DVD super set with Jessica Smith which I love (It includes Tone Your trouble Zones, Dance Walk, and Strength and Balance), Ballet Beautiful Body Blast - which I can do now, KCM's Muscle Up Lift to Be Fit, And sent separately with the help of Laura S was XTF Max One on One. I cannot wait to do all of these. I am in PT right now, so mostly just walking, but will be back to it soon. (something happened with all my joints and inflammation if anyone has advice on that. I had the autoimmune tests done but nothing was conclusive, might just be hyper inflamed due to kidneys going bad).
- There were 2 LARGE dark chocolate bars that are amazing that from what I have had so far did not cause a reaction or raise my blood sugar!! I dn't think i have ever had BOTH not happen!! And I need to find more. The name was Russell Stover Joy Bites Roasted Almonds in Fark Chocolate No sugar added. Not many brands use stevia and I was grateful for that (It also had chicory root! in it. I know that is used in certain coffees for some reason and am wondering about the good it may do). There was also a bag of dark chocolate baking chips in the same brand that I am excited about. I could probably eat them alone, but if I open the bag I will eat the whole thing and I know they can raise blood sugar so I am gonna find a low carb recipe to bake them in. My son has been experimenting with almond flour, making me carrot cake muffins for my birthday, but that didn't go so well on my blood sugar so may try another flour (I forgot, the coconut was sweetened, so that was why, so maybe can try again).
- I collect shot glasses and got an awesome Tennessee Volunteers :D shot glass. Now Hubby will be determined to get a Bama one to go next to it, lol. I was so happy!
- I got 2 prs of the softest socks on earth!! They are yummy aloe socks infused with natural aloe and vitamin E . SO cozy!!
- Some wonderful tinted lip balms from sky organics. Since everything has been together, I haven't tried them yet, but I plan to now. I am addicted to balms and glosses these days. There was also a wonderful natural soap from Buff City soap called Ocean Breeze!! Beautiful colors and has those masssagy ridges in it!!
- I was blessed to get a beautiful adult coloring book/prayer journal and markers. I cannot tell how grateful I am for this because my mind has been so scattered and hyperfocused on all the need to's and things I can't control anymore with my health, I need this focus. I cried when I opened that one.
- I have always wanted to try a Chicken Soup for the soul book for some good bathroom reading (is that ok to say?) other than playing phone games. That sounds like a silly complement, but it meant a lot to me. Again, I need more positive in my life in any way I can get.
And finally, A book I have been wanting for a while, Anticancer A New Way of Life.Planning to use this along with some protocols for other health issues to get some of my life in better order this year.
You work on what you can with what you have, and she helped me so much with tools i can still implement in my life to make it better and keep going forward. Bless you so so much!!

Everything meant so much to me, and I know it is soo late, but i thankyou so much for touching my life so much in such a sweet way. There is so much I had planned to do for others here that I have been unable to do as of yet and I am so sorry. my husband goes back to work next week from his surgery and I hope to be able to get a little more of myself together to do those things (Kate, I haven't forgotten you!)

i hope everyone has had a much happier beginning of this year and hope for a good one to follow!
Bless y'all

I JUST saw this...been crazy at Casa de Linda in 2022.

JENILU I am thrilled those gifts blessed you! I truly enjoyed trying to put together a package with items that you could use. I also got wonderful advice from sherry7899 so my package was guided by someone who knows you better than me

P.S. those lip balms are my absolute favorites but I learned about them from my VF Santa nyskier.

Praying for you JENILU.
