What DVD(s) have you bought lately…Keepers or trade?
So, I love going through past threads on here! Due to being enabled by these threads (thank you all but you’re killing me financially!) and wanting outdoor workouts, I have recently bought:
Denise Austin’s Totally Firm Denise Austin Sizzler Madeline Lewis Get Moving Ellen Barefoot Bikini Ready Fast Ellen Barrett Slim and Sleek Fast Jessica Smith Strength and Balance (part of Walk On 3 DVD Super Set) Jessica Smith Walking for Weight loss, Wellness, and Energy Beach Babe by Tone it Up Tamilee Webb Defy Gravity This one that is not outdoors: Kathy Smith Functionally Fit Lower Body Firming Prior to that I bought 6 Firm workouts which I am willing to trade that have either never been used or used only one time: Total Body Time Crunch Ultimate Fat Burning Workout Cardio Sculpt Blaster Body Sculpt Blaster Cardio Sculpt Fusion Total Body Toner What have you bought? Are they keepers or up for trade? |
So far, I have bought the following dvds this year:
I have not had the opportunity to try them as either (1) the require a level of lunging or impact that I am unable to do at this time, as I'm having knee issues or (2) I just received the dvd. Right now, I'm doing a Margaret Richard rotation for 8 weeks so it may take me awhile to get to them anyway. Right now, they are all keepers, although the Bodywisdom Yoga is reacquired. |
Keepers:
- Madeleine's Cardio Burn Weight Loss (same workout as Get Moving) - Gilad's 60 & 30 Minute Low Impact Workouts - Kathy Smith's Project You - Cathe's Basic Step + Body Fusion, I love the bonus strength workouts on this. - Trudie Styler's Pure Sculpt. Oh, I forgot my Essentrics/Classical Stretch :o I got them on December/January during their big sale, they are all keepers: - Class of 2012 - Barre Workout - Full Body Toning - Strength & Stretch in Motion - Body Sculpting Series Vol. 1 & 2 - Stretch series - CS Core Workout - CS Vintage Collection Vol. 1 & 2 - Full Body Workout Vol. 3 |
I bought Cathe's first 2 PHA workouts and I like them both. There aren't very many total body workouts from Cathe that are not super high rep.

Keepers:
Kathy Smith's Yoga Sculpt Body for Life with Ellen Barrett The Method Pilates Fusion/Standing Pilates Blend Salsa....Solo! With Yesenia Ellen Barrett's Stretch Sculpt Gilad's Bodies in Motion Beginners Weightloss & Toning Core & More Cuts & Curves Power & Grace Abs On Fire Core Challenge Hard Core Maximum Abs Phenomenal Abs & Core Gilad's Elite Forces Fat Burning Workout Total Body Sculpt Vol 1-6 Bodies in Motion 30th Anniversary Shows Vol 1-5 Gilad's Quick Fit System (Gilad has some great sales) |

I've been on a bit of a buying spree since January. I've found most of them for great deals, some used. I have acquired a few Classical Stretch seasons, CS/Essentrics titles like Ultimate Stretch and Pain Relief Workouts, Rebalance Connective Tissue, etc. Jessica Smith Feel Good Fusion, one of her stretching DVDs, her older set of three walks (dance, stride and strength and barefoot fusion). Ellen Barrett 7 day transformation and PL&C (those were a great deal from a Facebook group). I'm kinda collecting what I wanted back in the day but couldn't afford as I get the opportunity. At the moment I'm only doing CS/ Essentrics though. :o

In the past year I think I only bought Cathe's Boss Bands DVDs. Nothing else for at least couple of years....I think. Yes, Boss Bands are keepers but then, I rarely if ever, get rid of any of my DVDs. FYI, I still have my classic Firm VHS. :o I don't own a VHS player.

Keepers just purchased: Tracie Long Reboot 1 and 2 Total Body Time Crunch (pink Firm) I’ve recently been on a massive, massive exercise dvd buying spree. I cut all streaming though. I was spending $50 a month on fitness streaming services, did the math, and I’ll be coming out way ahead with workouts I can hold in my hands. :D those $1 Barre3 dvds I acquired are an example. |
