Unusual step in video
Have you ever seen a step like this? It seems to be made of four springs and a thin platform. It might be interesting to try out, but I wouldn't want one. Would you?

Definitely interesting. I wonder if it would help those with knee issues. Less impact.

I would love to try it too!

It looks interesting and might be more impact-friendly since it's shock absorbing. However, it's sliding around a little bit and that's scary.

Oh wow, looks fun!

Very cool! I’ve all but given up step because of my knees, that just might work for me.

I found the website - it is in Italian but if you speak Spanish or French, you probably can figure it out!
http://www.springenergie.it/ I am definitely intrigued!!! Diane |
I’d love to have one! I might start doing step again. A little pricey, though. Wonder if they’re available in the U.S. and why only the instructor has one in the video clip.
ETA: Spring Energie has a Facebook page and I also found the step in China! About 189USD with shipping from Italy. |
Kathy Smith used a bouncy step in her Power Step workout from 1994 (yes, that's Michael Carson in the back at 0:13, in addition to another male case member in the back):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QiU7hCY2qTE when people asked about that step, the manufacturer discontinued its production. i loved kathy's hair from this era! |
