What's your #1 reason for exercising?

This is a tough question. I know we all exercise for all those reasons, but if you think about it, which reason motivates you the most?

To be healthy, physically fit, and to have a great body, of course! :p

I picked to improve or maintain physical health. I decided a few years ago that I didn't want to be an old, old person, lol. I want to have full use of my body for as long as possible.

Well, I picked health reasons, even though I currently have no major issues. Of my four grandparents, the only one who hasn't had major health problems has been the only one who always watched what she ate, exercised regularly, and maintained other healthy habits. I hope to be like her!

Well it's mental health for me, but I'd also add to help avoid injury.

'Cause it's fun.

Because I enjoy it - although I suppose the sports answer sort of applies, as I enjoy my "sporty" stuff, but I do THAT because I enjoy it, so it's sort of a happy cycle going on there.

I put Control Weight, which for me is related to maintaining health. I have been very overweight my entire life, I am still overweight to this day, and will probably be for the rest of my life. I have lost a considerable amount of weight and would like to maintain as much of that weight loss as possible.

I put to improve my health, though it is true I do want to look good and jiggle less! But I have had RA for six years and found that regular exercises may be one of the reasons why my doctor tells me he can't see anything wrong with me (the blood tests always say otherwise!)

I could put all of the above, but while I started exercising to lose weight it has now become something I really enjoy. It doesn't happen all the time, but some morning I am exercising and just think "WOW, look what my body can do." Mind you that wasn't this morning since I tripped over my step 3 times :o .
