I'm reading The World That We Knew by Alice Hoffman, checked out as an ebook from the library, reading on my husband's Kindle. Libraries will supposedly reopen on Monday, but with the riots, who knows?

I'm still chugging along with the Mitford books. I've read the first 9, and now I'm in the follow-up "Father Tim" books. So far I'm liking them, though "Home to Holly Springs" had a...different...feel than the others so far.

I'm reading My Dark Vanessa. Wow, what a book so far. Tough subject and disturbing to read, but very well-written.

Our library just opened for no-contact pick up. I ordered way too many books because I was so excited! Picked up four bags of items last week (some exercise DVDs, too! :) ).

Great to hear about your library.

We are still closed. I am going to order some books. I am thinking it's going to take a great deal of work to reopen. Books returned, requested, new books and materials ordered, magazines for the past months.

Thanks for the glimmer of hope for my library.

Even though the Chicago libraries aren't open yet, some people are working there, because books that I put on hold at the beginning of the stay at home order are now in transit to my branch.

Oh, Hurrah! Really looking forward to the new Bujold book.

I've been slacking off on books, but did listen to Watership Down and one of the Stormlight Archive books by Brandon Sanderson.

I recently rediscovered Librivox, love all those free audiobooks, and even found a reader I really like. (Nicholas Clifford) Currently listening to The Small House at Allington, which is a collaborative work with a number of different readers. So far, so good.

Our library is doing curbside pickup, but my imagination is failing me and I just can't decide what to order. At least with the online audiobooks I can listen to a sample first, LOL!

One of my newest projects is reorganizing my cookbooks. If I don't burn out completely I may well do the same with all my books. I've been putting them in a list on LibraryThing, and I'm planning to make labels for the spines, LOL! Can't decide if this is a useful thing, or evidence that my good judgement is going. :)

Just started reading Elie Wiesel's Night.

I've been doing some re-reading of old favorites and kind of jumping all over during the pandemic.

I’m currently reading Donna Leon’s The Girl of His Dreams. I’ve also been listening to books by Louise Penny and Charles Finch that I’ve already read.

Excitement on the Indie bookstore front! My local store is now taking appointments for in-store shopping. No more than five shoppers will be admitted per half-hour appointment, and we’ll be required to wear masks and gloves. The store will provide the gloves and will have masks available as well. One of my great-nephews has a birthday later this month, so I’ve made an appointment to shop for him (and maybe for myself, too :D).

Excitement on the public library front as well! Eight of 19 locations reopened on Friday. Not sure my book-loving self can take all this increased access to books!

I am waiting for our local library to open for pickup. In the meantime, I am thinking about going to Goodwill later this week. Although I likely won't shop clothes (since the fitting rooms are closed and there are no returns), I can look at the books and DVDs. :)
