Firm Tough Cardio Mix .. one to consider.

I just finished doing this workout. It's been a very long time since I've done this routine and I must say I loved every stinkin minute of it!!

I posted in another thread that coming back to using the FIRMs has revealed to me just how weak I am. Especially when I do the strength training workouts. I did TCM without the box and turned it into pure floor work and couldn't keep my HR in the zone. It was well above and beyond my high end. In the 45 mins I burned 315 calories! Not using the step and going very light on the weights.

This particular FIRM has never really got the press like other titles, so I thought I'd throw this in for those picking up FitFav FIRMS. This is one to consider for a cardio day IMO.

If I've only enabled one person with this thread my job is done. ;)

Oh how I love Tough Cardio Mix! It is by far the workout I've done the most by The Firm. I had it on video tape back in the day and bought it on dvd when it became available. I like that you aren't constantly switching equipment; the step sections are sequenced together which is unusual for a lot of Firm workouts. I'm happy to see it's getting love from another VF fan, as it doesn't get mentioned a lot.

Every single FIRM workout is wonderful in its own way. Not a bad one in the bunch.

I agree. There is something good about all of them. :)

Tough Cardio Mix is a favorite of mine! I love all the box work and then the floor aerobics follow - not going back and forth between the two.

It is an all around fun workout. :)

I'm debating getting this one at Mary's sale...I have Cardio Step Mix in my cart for sure, but don't know if this one is a must have. I have Fat Blaster and Heidi and Pam's workouts that compile this one...do I neeeeeeed it? :D Is it better than Light or Tough Aerobic Mix?

If I'm short on time, but still want to do some step for cardio, this is my go-to workout. The cardio step mix is 60 minutes, but I think this one is closer to the 45 min range. If you're still on the fence, I'd get it; there aren't many other recent workouts that can match this one, in my opinion...

I like TCM, but I confess I don't think I have done it in quite a while, same with Cardio Step Mix. I bought both remasters. That said I will never part with them. I am glad these workouts were created because I really dislike high impact. Many of the Firm Cardio workouts from this era have lots of plyos, etc which I simply don't care to do.

I would say get them. I would say that I probably like TCM a wee bit better than CSM. CSM runs a little long for me, and there are some segments that I will skip which is easier now with the chaptering. I really need to pull these out soon, I always enjoy them when I do them.
