Creating polls

One cool new feature of this bulletin board software is the ability to post polls. I would like to keep them all in one place, so I created a whole Forum for polls. I will probably post one poll per week, but feel free to post your own, too. PLEASE stick to the topics of health, fitness, wellness and vidiocy for these polls.

I have disabled poll posting in all the other Forums except for News & Events, where I thought it could be useful for choosing the best dates/locations for get-togethers.

Great idea! So, how do we get the multiple choice thingy to show up on a poll post? (Does anyone else think that sounds redundant?)

Joe - why don't you take a poll to find out?

Joe 09-28-04 02:58 PM

I have taken polls... but how do you set one up with the options thing and the graph?

Below the text field you should see this:

Post a Poll
Yes, post a poll with this thread
Number of poll options: (Maximum: 10)

This will only work when starting a New Thread in the Polls section.

Thanks Pamela! That's exactly what I was looking for.

I'm still confused. Do we use HTML to create the poll, proper, or when we select "Yes post a poll" should a fill in the blank form open?

Thanks!

Meg

Hi there

You will get a fill-in-the-blank form when you check that box, but it comes up AFTER you hit the post button.

Just a warning (because this happened to me once):

When you are filling in the blanks for the poll, someone might actually respond to your posted question.

i could not post a poll - has it been disabled?
