I switched from a Fitbit (after having one for 4 years) to a Polar Loop because it has a HRM option. I have to admit that I really like my Loop. It gives you an activity goal, not just a step goal (unlike the Fitbit, you cannot change this - hopefully in future revisions of the software) and the bloody thing texts me when I'm on my butt too long. I have to admit that that is one of my favorite features. It also marks when I have an hour of inactivity. So I feel it makes me move more than my Fitbit because I don't want it to be texting me and giving me black marks on my daily chart.
It's also waterproof to 50 feet, so I can shower with it.
