Question CoreBody Reformer

Happy Thanksgiving!

Does anyone have the CoreBody Reformer? It's made by Nautilus. I did a thread & tag search and didn't see anything for it. There was an infomercial on at 4am this morning and in a bout of insomnia I went ahead and ordered it.

Here's the link:
http://www.corebodyreformer.com/core...s/homepage.jsp

Supposedly there is a Black Friday code (BLACKFRIDAY) for free shipping and a free video, but I heard it doesn't kick in until tomorrow.

The order confirmation didn't say anything about how long it takes to ship. The web says order by Dec 15 for delivery by Dec 24.

If anyone has it, can you please post your thoughts?

I saw this in a recent fitness magazine. Jennifer Galardi is connected to it, IIRC. Looked interesting (but a bit pricey for me!)

ETA: I might would be interested if all the "upgrades" were included...doesn't seem like you get much for the big price tag.

It's kind of expensive for a few workouts & a foam roller contraption w/ resistance bands & handle attached to it. I don't care for Jen G. workouts or pilates in general so would likely not buy this. Looks like it doesn't take up much room & would travel well, let us know who you like it.

ITA about the price for what you get. From the video narration: "Women can finally have a product that similar to what men have had for generations--give them a full body workout" (paraphrasing) Seriously?? I know most, if not all marketing tends exaggerate, but my goodness! And, it does not look like a high quality item! Unlike you, I do like pilates but I'd just rather save up for a real reformer--which you can get a full body workout on, despite the claims of the infomercial! LOL

ETA: Rereading this, I hope this didn't come off as overly snarky. I just had a negative reaction to the way this was marketed and what I think is a pretty high price for what you get. (I also think that there are likely better products out there to achieve similar purposes.) I am curious to hear about everyone's reviews who purchases this (I'm a vidiot after all!)

Black Friday promotion code

If anyone else is thinking of trying it, the BLACKFRIDAY promotion code is working. You get free shipping (value $29.99) and a free upper & lower body DVD (value $25 plus they remove the $5 shipping charge as well). So, you get a total of almost $60 off - and the final total is $279.

I ended up purchasing it because I'm looking for something different, and I think Nautilus has a pretty decent reputation. We'll see how it goes, though! Going to remain optimistic that it's a good purchase

I'm interested in hearing how you like it. I showed it to DH --just testing the waters, haha-- and he 'bout had a heart attack at the price tag. LOL, okay...that's a negative on putting that for my Christmas wish, hehe.

I just caved...

Thanks, soccergal, for posting about this and for including the promotional code!

I justify this purchase because I love resistance-band-type strength training. I much prefer to push and pull cords than to lift and lower dumbbells or kettlebells.

My nightmare of course is that the price will go down rapidly (as happened to me with Mari Winsor's Accelerator---which I still have and use regularly). Either that, or they'll come out with a deluxe version down the road which will also tempt me. But I like the look of this and its variable resistance.

I plan to use it in a rotation with Cathe's Turbo Barre.
