It has a great, gloopy-free wand. It's very lengthening and separating, although not as much volumizing if that's what you need (but works well using a primer first). Definitely makes a great everyday mascara.
I don't wear makeup much, generally only on the weekend when going out and about. But I just started using this mascara (in brown) after doing an online search for the most natural looking one I could find, and it indeed looks very natural! I absolutely love it, and great price too. Just wanted to second what Beth said!

Kittybug, I picked it up in brown too - I like it better for everyday use.

I have this prime that actually has color and can work as a mascara by itself! It does add some thickness and produces long, spidery lashes, although the brush is harder to use and it can be a little clumpy. However, it's a good first step before the ELF if I want more oomph:

Oooohh, I saved that primer to my wish list as another 'natural' looking option! Thank you so much!

Thanks everyone.

Beth, I just ordered that primer too. I think I have to ignore this thread from now on. There's no way I'm ever going to wear this much make up.

I like the primer, and it is a natural look - but actually less natural than the ELF!

Erica, LOL - it's also an opportunity to clear out old outdated stuff.

I have a comment and a question today.

Comment: I purchased a purple conditioner from Dollar Tree awhile back, and I really like it! It's thin-ish but seems to condition quite well.

Question: Has anyone who does NOT have curly hair (but maybe aging/gray) tried co (conditioner) washing? I sometimes do this once a week or so to give my hair a break. But I'm wondering if doing it the other way around - i.e., co washing daily, using shampoo only 1-2x/week - would work for my fine hair. I can't skip washing days like some do because my scalp still gets oily, and skipping washing makes my hair really limp. Thoughts?

Beth, I’d say it depends on your hair, but try it and see what you think.

The Beauty Brains podcast says to use a clarifying shampoo at least once a week to remove build up. I wash with a stronger shampoo once a week, and a gentle one once a week, and just conditioner a week. I do wash my bangs every day because my forehead gets oily. My hair used to be oily, but the gray is now drier and coarser.

I like Garnier Fructis Pure Clean shampoo for preventing buildup. It has mild detergents, no silicones and it's safe for color-treated hair. I use it three times a week, because I use a very moisturizing conditioner every day.
