I have been MIA

*Sigh, I have been missing in action. Life through a ton of curveballs my way and I was also completing my Masters degree in Nursing. I put on about 15lbs during that program.
I am looking to increase my motivation and exercise. I think I will begin with walking, tried some standing gentle yoga this morning and then some light weights. I haven't looked at new dvds in a long time.

I look forward to reading through what is new out there.

Welcome back! If it makes you feel any better, during my Masters I did not work out at all, but was able to get back on the wagon later. I gained quite a bit more than 15 pounds too You'll get there. I also started with walking and the Powerfits.

Welcome back & congrats on getting your masters!

I have had to start over more than once. I agree with Bubbles, the PowerFits are a great place to start.

WTG on your master's degree.

if time is a factor, use the short available time periods for weight training. then wear a fitbit or other tracking device to track your walking. if you're in an administrative position, incorporate more "getting up" and "walking" in your schedule, and set goals for steps or mileage on the tracking device.

if you have the luxury of 45-60 min/day, then start with 3x/week, and see if you can keep it up for 3 weeks, then adjust that plan as needed. KCM for sure - Kelly Coffey Meyer.

and welcome home!

I bought myself a Fitbit Charge 2 and that didn't do it lol I am hoping to start with Leslie's. I am charging my Ipad to check out her streaming workouts on there.

Thanks everyone. I really need to get moving.

Whenever I've had a setback, I do something fun and inspirational. For me, it's been some of the full length Biggest Loser workouts on youtube. They still get your heart pumping but without the impact.
