Over the past couple of weeks, I read the latest Tess Gerritsen, The Spy Coast and the latest in the Peter Ash series by Nick Petrie, The Price You Pay, both of which I really enjoyed. I have the latest Cara Black (Aimee Leduc series), Stephen McCauley, and Hannah Kristin’s The Women (#827 on 277 copies) on hold. I started reading The Librarian of Auschwitz last night and it’s really good so far.

I think the most copies I've EVER seen in our library system was 11 ?? Maybe ...

I read The Spy Coast and was surprised by how much I enjoyed it. Tess Gerritsen was a new-to-me author. I enjoyed reading a book where the main characters were mostly older. Go old people!

I put The Women on my hold list. At the time, I was #1123 and now I've dropped to #998. The library has 250 copies and it's dropping pretty quickly.

Laura - I felt exactly the same way about The Spy Coast. The older characters are so interesting and relatable! I also thought the female police officer was a well-written character. It would be great if this is the first book in a series. Those characters must all have skeletons in their closets that would make interesting stories, right?

I'm currently binging the Ellie Jordan, Ghost Trapper series on Kindle. They're fun, quick reads and just creepy enough, though only on #4 of 20, so we'll see if the author can maintain it.

Yeah, I liked the police officer character as well. She seemed realistic. This was the first book in a series, The Martini Club. Book #2, titled The Summer Guests, is due out on March 18, 2025 (according to Amazon). I can't believe it's over a year away!

Started a new book yesterday, Let the Great World Spin. So far I'm feeling pretty "meh" about it. It's supposed to be a novel, but I think it's more a series of interconnected stories. Can anyone tell me if it gets better?
