Has anyone read Writers & Lovers? My girl friend sent it to me for my birthday.

I read Fair Warning by Michael Connelly. Good book. He writes mysteries I can see actually happening.

Has anyone read anything by Liane Moriarty? I haven't, and last week I saw TRULY MADLY GUILTY at our Little Library so I picked it up. Then I read reviews, and multiple people said it was the most frustrating book they had ever read! So I think I may put it back...

Beth,
I’ve read most of Liane Moriarty’s books, and yes that was a very frustrating book, lol. Tons of build up to a big let down!

Her best in order (in my opinion):
1) The Husband’s Secret (the first one I read that was the best)
2) What Alice Forgot
3) Big Little Lies (this was made into an HBO series)
4) Three Wishes

I have the audible version of “Nine Perfect Strangers” that I haven’t listened to yet. I think that it got mixed reviews.

Liane Moriarty is my sister's favorite author. I read one book by her, The Husband's Secret. It was a page-turner, with an interesting technique of explaining what REALLY happened at the end, so the reader knows, but the characters don't. I wouldn't turn down a book, because other people found it frustrating. May as well read it, because who knows, she may become your favorite author too.

I agree with your list of her best books. I had to force myself to finish Nine Perfect Strangers and was so disappointed. It definitely was not up to par with her previous books.

I could not stand Nine Perfect Strangers and did not bother to finish it.

Well, I took the Moriarity book back to the Little Library. The things others didn't like about were exactly the kinds of things that frustrate me! I picked up a different book, THE HEART OF JUNK. Reviews on that were a bit mixed too (of course I'm only checking after the fact), but I'm enjoying it so far.
