Pluot season!

Not a recipe, just wanted to say that pluot/plumcot season is here! I discovered these last summer and I'm obsessed! In case you've never had one, a pluot/plumcot is a hybrid of a plum and apricot. There are different types with different percentages of plum and apricot. I recommend giving them a try if you've never had one!

Yes they do continue to ripen. But once ripe they are sweet and delicious!

Yum!

I just found jackfruit at the local Asian market, and now I'm wondering if it would make an even better smoothie with some other fruits in there.

I've never had jackfruit and just read that they taste like a cross between a pineapple and banana. Yum! I'll have to buy one and give it a try!

They can be pretty huge, so I'd suggest buying a small package of pre-cut fruit.

They sell it canned, but I've never tried that yet.
