Unhappy iPhone 12 signal drop issues...

I bought a new iPhone 12 mini recently. I'm having the signal just drop in the middle of calls. This happens in my home, not moving in a vehicle (as a passenger!)

I've seen a few threads online about this issue. These new iPhones are so expensive. The camera is state of the art, the screen is great, but the phone part seems to have gone back to the "Can you hear me now???" days. My old iPhone 6s didn't have issues with calls.

Anyone else having issues with an iPhone 12 model?

Following. . .I was considering upgrading from iPhone 6 to the iPhone 12 mini, but not if it is buggy with calls.

Is this issue with all the 12s or just the 12 mini?

Yikes. I'm also about to upgrade from a 5s? I think. I've had my phone ages...and would keep it longer but it no longer plays well with a lot of sites. Boo.

I got a 12 mini in early March. So far, no dropped calls, but I do more texting and emailing than talking.

Do you think it’s a carrier issue with the 5G network? I upgraded from an iPhone X earlier this year and haven’t had any dropped calls. My 12 Pro Max hasn’t had any issues but we’re pretty sure there is a 5G tower at the end of our street.

I was not getting 5G at all. (Just the AT&T phony "5Ge.") I called AT&T yesterday and they did something so that I finally am getting a 5G signal. We'll see if that helps.

Here are some links with more on the iPhone 12 signal issues. Most of them are from late last year, yet the problem persists:

There is an upcoming update for iOS devices (14.5) coming in the next few weeks that might address the issue.

I don't know if we even have 5G yet where I live.

I mostly like the 12 mini, although I have been having problems with Airplay. It won't stream Jenny Ford's Walk America workouts via Chromecast to the tv in my workout room and it randomly disconnects from the smart tv in my living room, which is quite frustrating when I am mid-workout.

LAC, I don't use Airplay. I download workouts (and movies) on to my iPhone or iPad and hook them up to the TV via HDMI cord and adapter. Old Skool, I know!

I noticed twice that my iPhone 12 Pro has lost its signal. I have had it since November. I almost never make phone calls and am usually tied to wifi at home so it may be happening more and I've never noticed.
