1. Which Winter Holiday(s) do you celebrate? Christmas

2. Do you go all-out with your holiday decor or keep it minimal? Minimal: little fake tree in the living room, Charlie Brown and Snoopy decorations and cards on the buffet.

3. What has been your favorite holiday fitness gift to date? The worst? All the fitness-related gifts I've received from the VF gift exchange have been the best. The absolute worst was a diet-related gift from a well-meaning friend who sent me a bottle of herbal stuff called Blubberwack (no joke!) to increase my metabolism and help with weight loss.

4. What are your favorite holiday traditions, in real life and on VF (if you have them) When my kids were small, we had lots of holiday traditions: always made a gingerbread house and cookies, had an Advent calendar every year, and watched tons of Christmas movies. The kids are grown now, so DH and I always watch Planes, Trains, and Automobiles on Thanksgiving and Muppet Christmas Carol and Remember the Night (Barbara Stanwyck, Fred MacMurray) before Christmas. I also love to listen to Jazz Holidays on Pandora while sewing Christmas gifts. We do a white elephant gift exchange with DH's side of the family, which is always a lot of fun.

5. What are your favorite holiday foods? Turkey

6. What's special about your holiday this year? I became a grandma right after Thanksgiving and have a new little grandson to spoil and love.

Joan on spoiling your grandson ths Christmas!

Laura Yes, you should check it out! They redid this movie to a modern version with Tom Hanks & Meg Ryan "You got mail". I saw that one but it pales in comparison to "The Shop Around the Corner" older version is just perfect IMO.

The movie after The Shop Around the Corner on TMC is a great movie too, with the same actors. It is about a family & the rise of the Nazi and the effect on the family.
