For downloading, I use different methods on different sites.
http://neverendingplateau.blogspot.c...ing-video.html
(there are more posts about downloading but this one is the best for trying to cover all options)

I prefer downloads to streaming because I still use a dvd player for most workouts. Before burning a dvdr with about 8 hours of routines, I edit most of them to remove unwanted moves and replace the audio with MUsic. My favorite video sites are those which have my uploads LOL

ETA: my favorite free youtube routines are from jessicasmithtv but with the audio replaced

So, Barb, you dance to that MUVE freeform dance...? That's magnificent!http://www.muve.com/blog/
You seem to be active in MUVE communities here.

Dancing, so great ...
or do you unbundle MUVE's music and put it to other video?

I will look into savefrom.net, when I get a chance.

Not the biggest priority, because anyway I tend to do the same stuff over and over again on DVDs. And wear out audio CDs if I can. I will find something to play audio cassette tapes on again at some point.

And I will do this some time soon.

But I do have to say, Vimeo download-enabled is not where the best fitness videos with the most buzz are located.

Except, judging from what's on the boards here, maybe this one:

http://vimeo.com/45480883

No offense, but Buti fans can have this one with my blessing.
Not saying if it is good or bad, just that that kind of dance is not my cup of tea ...

I download and burn to DVD using Freemake. Easy to use, even for me.

I have a huge binder with all my Jessica Smith DVDs categorized by type. Of course, the instructors prefer you play their workouts from YouTube because they get some type of benefit from YouTube for the number of hits they get and how much time is spent playing their stuff. I have little to no WiFi in the room where I work out, though.

I don't download youtube workouts but I wish I knew how. Maybe I wll try Joni's suggestion of freemake.

Some of my favorite youtube workouts are:

Jessica Smith

CardioYoFit - If you like pilates/yoga, strength, and cardio these are really well done and challenging.

Exercise TV

Fitness Blender - Huge variety

Grokker - You have to sign in but it's free and you can filter the types of workouts you want to do. I did Sarah Kusch crunchless cardio core and loved it.

BeFit - Haven't done too many of them yet but plan to try some soon.

GymRa

Most of the 10 minute solutions dvd's are loaded up. I still love Jessica's quick tummy toners.

Endless variety with youtube workouts which I love because I get bored easy

Non-TIFT-ing Jazz Cardio Dance

I need only the fat-loss ones, though I use them off-label

This is one ideal video somewhat my preferred type, right here ...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PUvuIg7yhoc , called "Slimtree.com - Cardio Jazz Dance Workout Full"

This one may be secured (just my luck), but I'll sometime find out from the downloader ... test case ...

I found this free video from studio sweat, straight up spin. It's in two parts. I've been using it every week.

I do not use MUVE videos much anymore but do have their dvds and downloaded some of their routines when they were online.
Now I prefer to do my own thing without their annoying visual effects.

The tunes I add come from workout CDs and online downloads.
I replace the audio both on downloaded videos and ripped from DVD videos.

If anyone with a Windows Operating System wants to try Freemake Video Converter or Freemake Video Downloader, download them only from
www.freemake.com
and carefully to avoid unwanted extra software

That is why I regularly make a donation to Jessica Smith
She is very generous and well aware that I am music obsessed LOL
