Interesting stories. "Breezy Trousers" is one of my favorites!

"Macska" means "Cat" in Hungarian, and that is my nickname. I'm Hungarian as well.

You'd be surprised how many times I've had a ladybug land on my arm or shoulder. )))

WOW!!! That brought tears to my eyes. I lost my mom 3 years ago.

I thought maybe you were inspired by the wine (Shiraz)...LOL!

As for me...

When my sisters and I were growing up, people sometimes had a hard time with our last name, the first letters of which are Pie.

So they called us Gail-Pie, Susie-Pie and Julie-Pie!

I used to quilt and I still collect penguins. On other forums Patchworkpenguin has always been availible while other forms of Penguin are already taken.

I have an uncommon double first name. (Technically, it's my first and middle names, but I use it as my first name.) It comes in handy as a litmus test; people who know me get it right, and people who don't know me call me only by the first half of my first name. For a number of reasons, I really don't like to be called by the first half of my first name. If I used it as my user name, everyone would get it wrong (trust me), and it would be one of life's minor irritations.

So Plan B -- my user name -- comes from my long-time nickname, going back to when I was 16, my brother was 11, and my sister was 3. Famous Amos (he of cookie fame) was very popular then, and because of the way my sister pronounced my name, my brother started calling me Famous Mamos. As the years have gone by, they have shortened it to Famous, and to my brother's children, I am Aunt Famous. I find it hilarious to have a pod of people who call me Famous or Aunt Famous, and it always makes me happy when I login here as Aunt Famous. (I would've gone by just Famous, but I didn't want you to think you had a superstar in your midst!)
