When I was little my mom called me her "ladybug."
Years ago, she had a massive stroke that left her unable to speak or move. She knew she was terminal. So I told her that no matter what, we would always be connected. I suggested a pact using "ladybug" as a way to communicate. If I think of ladybugs, she would know I was thinking of her. And if a ladybug happens to land on my shoulder, I would know she was thinking of me.

You'd be surprised how many times I've had a ladybug land on my arm or shoulder.

These are always fun to read.

My first "regular" forum attendance was a cake decorating forum. Alison(my name)bakes was taken (hehe, I'm so creative) so I just went with alisoncooks. And now I use it on pretty much every forum I'm on because I have a TERRIBLE memory! (Funny, I've gotten trades from VFers addressed to Alison Cooks, even though I've sent them my real name!

When I initially joined VF, my user name was my first initial plus my impossible-to-spell German last name. At some point I decided I would prefer to go by "just Sandra" and WWWendy graciously made the change for me!
