Fast 1-mile walk with Nick:

I like this one because I like Nick and because I get over 1,900 steps in 15 minutes.

I posted about this a while ago in another thread, but I just wanted to mention how much I am enjoying this new step channel.

I did this one today and I really enjoyed it. The moves were all ones I have seen many times in other workouts, but she packs in a lot of choreography and doesn't spend time over-repeating the blocks before moving to the next one. She also doesn't spend too time breaking down basic moves.

Paula, would you say that Marci is all "intermediate" in terms of BPM or are they equivalent in intensity to one another? I see that she labels some of the workouts intermediate but not all.

I would say the label 'Intermediate' is in reference to the choreography level - she includes moves like rocking horses, walking L-Steps, straddle lunges, without a lot of breakdown. There was one move across the top and she offers a option to run a basic, to bring the intensity up a bit. I am not sure what the BPM was, but it definitely seemed a bit slower than Kat Gats-Buettner (if you are familiar with her workouts), It was l enough that I got my heart rate up, but at no point was I struggling to keep up. The intermediate one I did today had a wider range of moves that the 90s Step Class I did last time, but the BPM felt the same. Hope that helps!

Now, these videos are NOT meant to be workouts. They are simply meant to get you moving for 10 minutes maybe one or twice a day in a thoughtful and intentional way, to break up your sitting time, to mobilize your joints, and to get your blood flowing. These videos work perfectly as one way to help combat Sitting Disease. Bottom line is that you need to move often throughout the day.

I think I may have posted about this one upthread. I love her Pilates workouts (I did one this morning) and I’m pretty picky about Pilates.
