My mom lived in senior apartment and loved it. She is older and moved in in her 70's. She made so many friends and joined a lot of card groups. It was in a quiet area, reasonable rent and no one bothered her. She misses it a lot. She also made some good friends and people would offer to take garbage down, etc. Unfortunately too many falls and health conditions resulted in assisted living.
Just to add, there were many young, active seniors and a lot of really nice people. But that's the midwest., imo. The best people around. That's what I saw and I only have good things to say about it. |

I always wanted to move into one! I assumed they would be really quiet with the age restrictions compared to other housing arrangements. I can't tolerate noisy neighbors in regular apartments. I was too young at the time a few years ago (25ish) to move into the community although I thought of using my parents to lease it and add me as a live in.
